Espanyol vs Rayo Vallecano: Both Teams to Score: No

7pm – Espanyol v Rayo Vallecano

Both teams here began La Liga with a draw – Espanyol 2-2 away to Celta Vigo, Rayo 0-0 away to Xavi’s Barcelona. Recent meetings between the sides played at the Estadi Cornella-El Prat have been pretty even with the hosts winning two, the visitors winning two and one ending level in competitive fixtures, four of those games saw Both Teams to Score occurring while three saw Over 2.5 Goals landing.

Espanyol have won two of their last five home La Liga games, drawing two and losing one, scoring just four goals while conceding three with BTTS landing in two and all five witnessing Under 2.5 Goals. Their opponents have won two of their last five on their league outings, drawing two and losing one, scoring just three goals and conceded two with BTTS landing in none and Unders in four. We’re not going to see many goals here, then. Unders is a decent shout but we’re getting better odds for a BTTS: No bet here.

Borussia M’gladbach vs Hertha Berlin: ‘Gladbach to Win & BTTS

7.30pm

‘Gladbach have won two and drawn one of their three competitive games so far this season while Hertha are yet to record a victory, drawing two (losing one on penalties) and losing one. The hosts have won five of the last seven meetings between the sides here with one ending all square and the Berliners winning one. Borussia have won three of their last five Bundesliga games on home soil, drawing one and losing one while the visitors have won one of their last five away league games, drawing one and losing three. This looks like a home win then, but we can get some extra value.

‘Gladbach have conceded in nine of their last 10 home league games, with BTTS landing in all nine of them while the Old Lady have scored in all five of their most recent away games and have six goals so far over their three games this season, adding a BTTS bet to a Home Win has some juicy odds.

Norwich vs Millwall: Both Teams to Score

8pm – Sky Sports Football

Norwich come into this Championship game as favourites but both teams share pretty similar recent form. The Canaries have played five games this season, four league games and one League Cup game and have won just one, drawing two (winning one on penalties) and losing two. Millwall have won two, drawn one and lost two over their respective five fixtures.

The big difference though is in the contrasting home vs away form; the hosts have won two of their last five league games on home soil, drawing one and losing two while the Lions have gone eight away league games without victory and of their last five have drawn three and lost two. The hosts have also won four of the last five meetings played at Carrow Road. However, the away side have netted seven over their five games and the hosts haven’t kept a single clean sheet over their last 12 competitive fixtures. The away side should draw some blood here and with Norwich’s leaky defence, BTTS: Yes has the value for this one.

Lyon vs Troyes: Lyon to Win at HT/FT

8pm – BT Sport 1

Lyon began their new Ligue Un season with a 2-1 win over Ajaccio while Troyes were 0-3 losers at home to Toulouse. The hosts are massive favourites to take the three points and have won all five previous meetings at both grounds and all seven of their most recent meetings held at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais. The hosts finished last season very strongly winning four of their last five games and their home form has seen them win all five of their most recent league encounters.

Troyes have won none of their last five Ligue Un games, drawing two and losing three and on their travels have drawn two and lost three as well. Something that leapt off the stats page at us here was the fact that the hosts have been leading at half-time in all five of their most recent home league games and with Troyes in such bad shape we have to go with the home side on the HT/FT market.

Sevilla vs Valladolid: Sevilla to Win & Over 1.5 Goals

9pm – Premier Sports 1

Both sides began their La Liga seasons with a loss; Sevilla 2-1 away to Osasuna, Valladolid 0-3 to Villarreal on home soil. This has been a tough fixture over recent seasons for the hosts, they’ve won just two of the last five meetings played at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, drawing two and losing one with BTTS landing in four of those five encounters.

Sevilla have won two of their last five home La Liga games, drawing two and losing one, scoring eight and conceding six with BTTS landing in three while the travelling side have drawn two of their last five away league games, losing three, scoring four and conceding 11. The hosts should come out on top here but we can see the visitors potentially getting on the scoresheet too so we’re likely looking at a 2-0, 2-1, 3-1 scoreline so we’re backing Sevilla to Win and Over 1.5 Goals.
