7.45pm: Stoke v Middlesbrough – Under 2.5 Goals

Stoke have won one, drawn one (winning it on penalties) and lost two so far. Middlesbrough have lost two and drawn two of their four respective games since the season restarted. The odds are pretty much the same for either side to win here, meaning the market doesn’t really have a clue what way this game is going to go. And we can hardly blame them after the lacklustre starts both teams have had so far this season.

Stoke’s home form, competitively, over the last few months has been good though with three wins, one draw and one loss but none of those games saw Over 2.5 goals landing and only one saw Both Teams to Score occurring. Boro on their travels have won one, drawn two and lost two. Last season both teams shared a stat; only 39% of their home/away games saw Over 2.5 goals and with both teams in bad form we can’t see many goals here so it’s Under 2.5 Goals.

8pm: Reading v Blackburn – Blackburn to Win

Reading have lost three and won one of their four fixtures so far while Blackburn have got off to the perfect start with four wins from four matches. Looking at previous home competitive games for the Royals they’ve won one, drawn one and lost three.

Rovers have won three of their last five on their travels, drawing one and losing one. The Madejski Stadium hasn’t exactly been a happy hunting ground for the visiting side over previous seasons but with them starting so strongly this season and Reading being in terrible form we have to back Blackburn to Win here.

8pm: Sheffield United v Sunderland – Both Teams to Score

MORE TIPS: Check out this 20/1 Bet Builder for Sheff Utd v Sunderland

Sheffield United have won one, drawn one and lost two of their four fixtures this season while Sunderland have also won just one, drawing two and losing one, scoring six and conceding seven. The Blades’ home form is decent though, winning three of their last five on home soil, losing the other two, scoring nine and conceding four.

The Black Cats have won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five on their competitive travels, scoring five and conceding five too. The hosts have only kept one clean sheet so far this season and newly-promoted Sunderland are proving a tough nut to crack since advancing through the Playoffs last season. With both teams in decent goal-scoring form the best value here is in backing Both Teams to Score.

8pm: West Brom v Cardiff – West Brom to Win to Nil

The Baggies have won one, drawn two and lost one of their four games thus far this season while Cardiff City have won two and lost two. Over their last five home competitive fixtures, West Brom have won three and drawn two, scoring eight while conceding just two.

The Bluebirds have won just one of their last five competitive away games, scoring just three goals while conceding seven. With the hosts in ripe form and the away side struggling to even hit barn doors, we’re getting some great value here on West Brom to Win to Nil.

8pm: Dynamo Kiev v Benfica – Benfica to Win

TV: BT Sport 2

Portugal’s Benfica are incredibly short odds to qualify for the next round and are, indeed, favourites to take the honours in the first round here. Kiev have played four competitive games so far this season, winning just one and drawing three (winning two in Extra Time). Benfica have also played four games so far this campaign, winning all four, scoring a very respectable 12 while conceding just two.

Kiev have scored a total of five goals over their five games but it’s worth pointing out that only two came during normal time in their games, matching that up against a team that have 12 goals over their four games so far we just have to back Benfica to Win here.
