NEW TO PADDY POWER NEWS?
Saturday 12.30pm: Aston Villa v Everton
TV: BT Sport
If you look at it since last season, Everton won one of their last 17 away matches. That was since August so their away form has been very sketchy.
Steven Gerrard’s come in for a bit of criticism but if you look at their results since he came in they would sit 10th in the table. Take that as you want but I think 10th is probably about right for Villa. I’m going to err on the side of Aston Villa for this game.
Since their return to the Premier League they’ve played Everton six times and they’re yet to lose. They’ve got a bit of a hoodoo over Everton so I’m going for Aston Villa to Win and I’ll go 2-1 to the home side.
Saturday 5.30pm: Brentford v Manchester United
TV: Sky Sports
I do think Manchester United will react and I do think Cristiano Ronaldo will come back in to start. He came off the bench last week and I just think he will give them the impetus to push on in this game.
Brentford got a great draw at Leicester. Leicester are not doing great at the moment but to get it back to 2-2 was great. They had a good start last season, Brentford, and they only lost one of their opening seven games and I think that stood them in good stead as the season went on.
United have not lost their opening two Premier League games since 1992 so there’s a little bit of pressure on them but I do fancy Manchester United to Win and Both Teams to Score because they’ve got to react. It’ll be a narrow 2-1 Win for United and I do fancy Cristiano Ronaldo to Score Anytime.
Sunday 2pm: Nottingham Forest v West Ham
TV: Sky Sports
West Ham will be up against a Forest side who have made 13 signings and I just think it’s too many, I really do. Trying to bed them in is so hard and trying to make personalities and cultures all get along.
No wonder they found it difficult at Newcastle. Newcastle must have been rubbing their hands last week and they won 2-0, comfortably I must say. So I’m going to back West Ham to Win. I think it might just be by a single goal and I think Michail Antonio can Score Anytime.
Sunday 4.30pm: Chelsea v Tottenham
TV: Sky Sports
Chelsea and Spurs met four times last season and Chelsea won them all and they did not concede a goal. Chelsea, in this fixture, are unbeaten in seven.
So I’m going to go for Chelsea to Win and Both Teams to Score. I do fancy Raheem Sterling to Score Anytime and for him to really turn it on.
Monday 8pm: Liverpool v Crystal Palace
TV: Sky Sports
Thommo’s come up with a 7/1 Bet Builder for this game which you can check out HERE.
