With the Premier League juggernaut getting ready to roll into action again this weekend we’ve enlisted the help of our own irresistible force, Paddy ambassador Phil Thompson, to give us the low-down ahead of the 2022/23 campaign. This time it’s the top-four race in Thommo’s sights.
Thommo thinks the title is between last season’s top two, but that the remaining top four places should be a lot more competitive. Who’s sneaking in and who’s missing out? Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal, West Ham or Man United? Let’s see Thommo’s top four Premier League tips.
Who will finish in my top four? Well, I think Tottenham have really done well with their recruitment, I really do. Arsenal have done well too, but I’m going for Spurs and Chelsea to finish in the top four, in that order.

ChelseaTop 4 Finish 2022/23
So, it’s Man City, Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea in the top four. I know the Chelsea one is rubbing people up the wrong way at the moment but I think they will get that extra defender in. Kalidou Koulibaly is a proper good defender but it will take time for them to integrate.
I know they took a hiding (4-0 against Arsenal) but it was pre-season. I do fancy Arsenal, they will improve, but The Gunners are going to finish 5th for me.
