We have a full programme of MLS games on offer starting Saturday night and going into the wee hours of Sunday morning. We’ve piled through the stats and form for all of the games and found five value picks for a five-fold Acca that could really top off an exciting week of footballing action. Let’s get right to it.
Of late, it has turned into a two-horse race at the top of the Western Conference with Philadelphia Union at the top with New York City hot on their tails just a point behind. Montreal are six points behind their opponents here and a win could throw the title race wide open again. The hosts are in decent form with three wins and two defeats over their last five MLS games and share the same record at the Stade Saputo where Over 2.5 goals and Both Teams to Score has landed in three of those five games, scoring eight while conceding seven.
The visitors are undefeated over their last six MLS fixtures, winning all four of their most recent and on their travels have won three, drawn one and lost one over their last five in the league, scoring eight and conceding six. With just two draws over their combined 19 home vs away games as well as their respective goal-scoring records we’re backing some juicy odds here for Both Teams to Score, No Draw.
Union have been in very impressive form of late, losing just one of their last 10 games and of their last five have drawn one and won four. At Subaru Park they’ve not lost at home yet this season in the league, winning three and drawing two of their last five, scoring 12 and conceding just three over those five games.
Dynamo have won just one of their last five league encounters, drawing one and losing three; their away record is even worse with one win and four losses over their last five. The travelling side have conceded at least two goals in six of their last eight on the road and with the hosts in such flying form we’re liking the odds here for the U to win and Over 1.5 goals.
Bottom of the Western Conference, Sporting Kansas have won just one of their last eight games in all competitions. Their MLS form has seen them also winning just one of their last five fixtures, drawing one and losing three while on home turf have won one and lost four of their last five played there. Over those five games they scored a total of three goals and conceded seven.
Austin, second in the Western Conference, have won three, drawn one and lost one of late while on the road have taken 13 points from a possible 15 over their last five MLS excursions, scoring nine goals and conceding just three. With the home side so low on confidence, and goals, this one has Away Win written all over it.
Fifth take on seventh here in the Western Conference and neither side are really in the best of shape. Dallas have won just one of their last five in the MLS, drawing three and losing one but it’s even worse at home where they’ve drawn two and lost three, scoring just three goals while conceding seven.
LA Galaxy have won two and lost three of their last five league fixtures and on their league jaunts have won one, drawn one and lost three, scoring four and conceding seven. Over 2.5 goals has only been witnessed in two of their last 10 combined home vs away games and seeing Unders available at Evens at the time of writing screams value.
Real Salt Lake have a good opportunity to overtake Minnesota above them in third position with a win here but their form leaves a lot to be desired. The away side have won just one of their last five league clashes, drawing one and losing three while on their travels have won one and lost four, scoring six and conceding 10.
San Jose, second-from-bottom, have won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five MLS fixtures but on home soil are in good shape with three wins, one draw and one loss where they scored eight and conceded six. With both teams scoring and conceding plenty of late the best shout here is a BTTS bet.
