There’s plenty of Irish and Scottish interest on Thursday night for the Europa Conference League Qualifiers as we’ll be seeing the second leg of Sligo Rovers taking on Motherwell with a 1-0 aggregate lead following the first leg.

St Patrick’s Athletic are tied 1-1 with Slovenian side Mura and Northern Ireland’s Crusaders host Basel and are trailing 0-2 following their loss in Switzerland last week.

NEW TO PADDY POWER NEWS?

We’ve also found some value in two other matches where Denmark’s Brondby take on Poland’s Pogon Szczecin with the tie level at 1-1 and Kosovo’s Drita drew 0-0 with Antwerp in their first leg in Belgium.

Let’s get into it then and show our value picks for these five Europa Conference League clashes.

19:00 Brondby vs Pogon Szczecin: Both Teams to Score

Even though playing away here the visitors will feel they hold a slight advantage going into this game as they’ve played two more games than Brondby thus far this season thanks to being involved in the previous round of the competition.

The hosts have won three, drawn one and lost one of their last five competitive fixtures while at the Brondby Stadion have won two, drawn two and lost one over their last five played there with both Over 2.5 goals and Both Teams to Score landing in four of those games.

Pogon have won two, drawn one and lost two over their last five fixtures and on their travels have only won one, drawing two and losing two with BTTS landing in three of those games. With BTTS landing in so many of their combined games we have to stick with the value here and go with that.

19:00 Drita vs Antwerp: Under 2.5 Goals

The market is giving Kosovo’s Drita very little chance here but they gave a good account of themselves in the first leg and will be confident of causing some damage here in front of their home fans. Over their five most recent fixtures they’ve won two, drawn one and lost two while on home soil have won two, drawn two and lost one, scoring 10 and conceding just three.

Antwerp have won two, drawn one and lost two of their five most previously played games and on the road have won three and lost two, scoring five while conceding three. With two solid defences on show here this one should be another stingy affair and seeing Unders at Evens is decent value here.

19:00 Mura vs St Patrick’s Athletic: Mura to Win

Mura have played five games so far this season, winning three, drawing one and losing one, compared to St Pat’s season who have played 26 games so far and the Irish side will certainly be the fitter of the two coming into this clash. The travelling side’s results though haven’t been as good as their Slovenian opponents of late with just one win over their last five fixtures, drawing three and losing one.

The hosts have won four of their last five on home soil in competitive games, losing the other one, with Over 2.5 goals landing in all five and BTTS occurring in four. On the road the Dubliners have won just one of their last five, also drawing three and losing one, scoring seven and conceding four. With 13 goals to their name over their last five at home compared to Pat’s seven we have to give it to the hosts to Win here.

19:00 Sligo Rovers vs Motherwell: Sligo Rovers +1

Sligo Rovers pulled off one of the shocks of last week’s first legs with a 0-1 win away over Motherwell and they’ll be confident of qualifying here with the potential prize of facing Sparta Prague on the line. The hosts have won three, drawn one (winning it on penalties) and lost one of their five most recently played matches and share the same record at the Showgrounds with Overs being seen in three of those five games.

Motherwell have won two and lost three of their last five competitive matches and on their away jaunts have won just one of their last five, drawing one and losing three, scoring just four goals while conceding 11. With the Steelmen in such bad shape we’re going with the hosts here but keeping some cover; we’re going with Sligo Rovers +1 on the Handicap market.

(+1)

20:00 Crusaders vs Basel: Both Teams to Score? No

Northern Ireland’s Crusaders have won just one of their last five fixtures in competitive games, drawing one (winning it in Extra Time) and losing three. At Seaview things are slightly better with two wins, one draw and two losses, scoring 10 and conceding nine. Basel have won two and drawn three of their last five competitive games and drawn all five of their most recently played away games, scoring just three goals while also conceding three.

The hosts have to go for it here but that Swiss defence has only conceded two or more goals in one of their last eight games and indeed have kept three clean sheets over their last five on their travels. With that steely defence we’re likely looking at a low-scoring affair here, so going with the value in the Both Teams To Score No market.
