7pm: Dynamo Kiev v Fenerbahce – Both Teams to Score

For obvious reasons this game isn’t being played in Kiev but is being hosted in Lodz in Poland so no doubt there’ll be a fairly strong ‘home’ crowd roaring on Kiev’s most successful team. They’re certainly coming into the game match-fit with eight friendly games under their belt over the last three weeks where they’ve won three, drawn two and lost three.

Fenerbahce have also prepared wisely for this match, having played six friendlies over the same period where they’ve won five and drawn one. Kiev though had the tougher opposition, playing top sides from France, Switzerland and Belgium while the Turks faced Hull City and Partizan Belgrade. The odds for this one favour the away side but the hosts have been in decent goal-scoring form over their friendlies. The visitors have scored even more over their games in preparation for this fixture though so the best bet here is Both Teams To Score.

7pm: Ferencvaros v Slovan Bratislava – Over 2.5 Goals

Hungarian champions Ferencvaros are very short odds here when they take on their Slovakian counterparts Slovan Bratislava. Unlike the above match both teams were in action in the previous round where the hosts were 5-1 aggregate winners over Kazak side Topol while Slovan needed Extra Time to beat Dinamo Butami 1-2 over their two legs.

The away side will be confident of drawing some blood here with the second leg in mind, the hosts have conceded in five of their last seven home competitive games while Bratislava have themselves scored in five of their last eight away competitive fixtures. We must point out though that the Hungarians won five of those eight as well and certainly would be the better of the pair. With both teams then in good goal-scoring form we’re banking on seeing a few goals here and the odds for Over 2.5 Goals represents some decent value here.

7.15pm: Maribor v Sheriff Tiraspol – Halftime 0-0

Both sides here were also in action in the previous round. Maribor were 2-0 aggregate winners over Shakhtyor while Sheriff beat Zrinjski 1-0 over their two legs. The hosts have had a tough preseason, drawing three and losing one of their four home games while competitively they won three and drew two of their last five on home soil, scoring six and conceding two.

The visitors decided to play no friendly games at all but had finished the season strongly in May with three wins and two draws over their last five competitive games (including both those CL matches). Away from home they share the same results, scoring seven and conceding just one.

With those stats we can see a tight affair here without too many goals, the odds aren’t great though for Unders. Diving deeper into the stats we see that the hosts only scored one First Half goal over those last five competitive home games while the travelling side also netted just one over their last five away fixtures. We’re backing the Halftime Correct Score 0-0 with those stats.

7.45pm: Hibernian v Morton – Hibs to Win to Nil

Hibs have won two and lost one of their three League Cup Group D games so far. Morton though are bottom of the pile with just a point from their two games played. Obviously the Premiership side are the favourites against the Championship outfit here and have only lost one of their 10 games on home soil (including two friendlies) and have scored 16 over their last five played there, conceding just three.

Morton have lost three of their last five away competitive fixtures, drawing one and winning one, scoring just two goals while conceding nine. With the home side in strong form and conceding so few compared to a Morton side who are struggling for goals we have to go with Hibs to Win to Nil here.
