England come into this one on the back of their 8-0 demolition of Norway, while Northern Ireland have lost both of their fixtures.

England to Win by 4 or More Goals

For anyone who doesn’t know, England obliterated the second best team in this group, hitting them for eight when in all honesty it could have been 20. They kept the ball brilliantly, penetrated with ease and their star players, who we’ve hoped would shine in this tournament, were all superb.

Norway didn’t know what had hit them as they conceded the most goals of any team in a single game since the Women’s Euros were formed. If England can be as good again, they could break that new record against the lowest ranked side in the tournament. Northern Ireland have been beaten comprehensively in their opening two games, so anything but an England hammering seems unlikely here.

Alessia Russo to Score First

England’s front three were all phenomenal on Monday night, scoring six of the eight goals between them. With Ellen White now aged 33 and England having already secured their place in the knockout round, I would expect Alessia Russo to start this one. She came off the bench to score the 7th against Norway, and looks another big threat for that England attack. If she does get the nod, she will be hungry for goals to land a starting spot in the knockout games. The reason to back the FGS here rather than two or more goals is so the selection will be voided if she does not start.

England Total Corners – Under 8.5

While England will have most of the possession here, their wingers tend to attack the inside which results in them getting very few corners. They pierce through the middle of teams creating strong attacking chances, instead of beating full-backs on the outside and crossing balls into the box. This was shown in their opening two games where they had seven corners and only two against Norway, so the corners line of eight here looks too big for me so I’m going with the unders.

Kirsty McGuinness 1 or More Shots

England will dominate the ball here but that’s not to say Northern Ireland won’t have a few chances for a shot on goal. For me, McGuinness has been their biggest threat so far, and started the Austria game up front. She is a pacey attacker, and has so far been more threatening than her strike partner Lauren Wade. I like the look of her for a shot here.

England v Northern Ireland betting tips:
