Germany to Win

They may not be the same side that’s dominated this competition over the years, but the majority of this squad still play amongst Europe’s elite. The forwards will be the key to their success if they are to win this tournament for a seventh time, with Lea Schuller and Tabea Wassmuth coming off their best seasons to date.

Denmark, on the other hand, surprised many by reaching the final of this tournament in 2017. They have one standout player in Pernille Harder, but the majority of the rest of the side plays in the Danish league. I see Germany having too much for them here.

Over 3.5 Goals

As mentioned above, the forwards will be the key for Germany in this tournament. Schuller and Wassmuth will be the main threat, but they also have experience in Svenja Huth and Alexandra Popp, along with youth in Jule Brand and Klara Buhl to come off the bench.

They scored seven in their friendly against Switzerland, while Denmark have topped their World Cup qualifying group, averaging 4.75 goals per game. The Over 3.5 Goals angle looks the right one for me here.

Lea Schuller Anytime Goalscorer

The German forwards are very quick and full of goals, but none more so than striker Lea Schuller. She should start up front on her own, with Wassmuth and Huth either side. She has 25 goals so far for Germany, along with bagging 22 for her club Bayern Munich this season so I’m on Schuller to Score Anytime.

Tabea Wassmuth to Score or Assist

Wassmuth is coming off an incredible season with Wolfsburg, finishing the Champions League campaign as the top goalscorer with 10 goals. Add that to the 19 goal involvements in 21 games in the Bundesliga, and you can be sure this Wassmuth to Score or Assist selection will go very close.
