Now, watching Paul McCartney give it a go at Glastonbury last weekend was all fun and games but we’ll turn our attention back to football now, thank you very much.
NEW TO PADDY POWER NEWS?
We’ve studied the form and the statistics and put together a tidy four-fold acca from games in Brazil and Egypt. Enjoy!

6pm: Al Mokawloon v National Bank – Under 2.5 Goals
First up, we’re heading to the Egyptian Premier for Al Mokawloon v National Bank, where fifth travel to 15th. The home side are one place above the relegation zone on goal difference, whereas a win for National Bank could move them up to sixth.
Both sides have lost just once in their last five games and despite Al Mokawloon’s league position, they’re a relatively stubborn side and can be tough to beat. As for National Bank, their only defeat in their last five games came last time out against the league leaders Zamalek.
In a game which looks tricky to call, we’re going to back Under 2.5 Goals. Four of Al Mokawloon’s last give games have seen the selection land. National Bank, meanwhile, have had two 0-0’s in their last five fixtures. Expect minimal action and goals in this one.
8:30pm: Zamalek v Ceramica Cleopatra – Zamalek to Win
We’re staying in Egypt for league leaders Zamalek hosting Ceramica Cleopatra. The home side are two points clear of Pyramids at the top of the table and they’ll know how crucial another win is.
Ceramica Cleopatra are tenth in the league and are having a pretty underwhelming season. They’ve won five, drawn 11 and lost six of their 22 league games so far this campaign.
We like the look of Zamalek to Win to extend their lead at the top of the league. Ceramica Cleopatra’s away form is also poor as they’ve won just once in 11 games on the road.
11pm: Gremio v Londrina – Gremio to Win and Over 1.5 Goals
Now we’re flying over to Brazil for Gremio v Londrina in the Brazilian Serie B. Gremio are fourth in the league and they’re currently in the promotion places after 14 games.
Londrina are eighth, however, they’ve lost just once in their last five games. They’re also just four points behind Gremio.
The home side are unbeaten in their last five and they’ve won four of their six home games. As for Londrina, their away form doesn’t hold up and they’ve won one and lost four of their fixtures.
We’re expecting Gremio to Win but the odds aren’t superb so we’re siding with Gremio to Win and Over 1.5 Goals to get more value for money. The selection has landed in four of their last five home games.
11pm: Brusque FC v Bahia – Under 2.5 Goals
Finally, it’s Brusque FC v Bahia, which is also in the Brazilian Serie B. Bahia are third in the league and they’re travelling to tenth-placed Brusque.
The league table suggests Bahia should win, however, we’re not too confident considering their form. They’ve won two of their six away games and they’ve lost their last two fixtures.
This seems like another one that looks too tough to call so we’re going to get behind Under 2.5 Goals. Both teams’ games are averaging 1.6 goals and the selection has landed in their last eight fixtures combined. Another snooze fest will do us!
