There comes a point in time where you need to re-evaluate your stance on things.
For the longest time, I’ve considered the importance of building from the ground up; the gradual implementation of a footballing culture that would sportingly represent a nation’s values on a football pitch.
Players should carry themselves in accordance with the population they represent. Each mother should look and be able to see their child; each man – their child.
Going into a game of football supporting your national side should feel like you’re on the world stage to show off what you stand for – and its final result being a culmination of years of graft and organic growth from the boys and girls of your motherland.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
But then, as you witness your own country do all the right things and still get turned by an average European outfit’s second team, you realise that all of that was absolute b******* and the only thing you actually need to succeed at this level is the conviction of one player who’s considerably better than all the rest of the players on the pitch.
So there’ll be no accumulator here; no BTTS dreamwork. I’m banking on these three stars to produce because they can.

19:45 Denmark v Croatia: Andreas Cornelius to Score Anytime
TV: Box Nation
Denmark are in flux with their striking situation as Kasper Dolberg dips in and out of form, but they may have found their answer in big games, as Andreas Cornelius continues to impress while his club side flourish.
He netted 15 times in the Super Lig last year and was clearly one of the most coveted marksmen in the country.
He netted twice against France and that’s reason enough to side with giving him the nod, but also the fact he’s six-foot-five and actually allows them to benefit from their supreme crossers of a football doesn’t hurt one bit.
His goals have come against the Czech Republic, Poland, Bosnia, Israel and France – so he’s clearly not shy of a genuine challenge.
19:45 Austria v France: Kylian Mbappe to Score Anytime
TV: Premier Sports 1
Didier Deschamps will celebrate ten years in charge of France next month and while they’re current world champions and possess arguably the most talented squad on the planet, they’re going through a mini crisis.
That draw with Croatia might not seem disastrous in isolation but following a poor defeat to Denmark only three days beforehand paints a much bleaker picture.
Cometh the hour, cometh the class.
While they’re rotating striking options left, right and centre at the moment, in a must-win moment, they’ll turn to Mbappe to carry the ball.
19:45 Andorra v Liechtenstein: Albert Rosas to Score Anytime
TV: Premier Player
He’s only nineteen but he’s already the best player to have ever lined out for Andorra.
Just four caps in and clearly not yet disheartened by the nonsense he’ll have to endure for the next two decades, he’s been waiting for an easier test to capitalise on his talent – and this will be his first opportunity.
Expect him to play for a top club in Europe in the next few years.
