In the grand scheme of things this match pales into insignificance as Scotland finally host Ukraine in this World Cup qualifier, two months later than had originally been planned. In a footballing sense, however, this is huge for both sides.

Steve Clarke’s side were impressive in their group and can consider themselves unlucky to not have booked their place in Qatar already, winning seven of their 10 matches but they will be up against an emotionally-charged Ukrainian side who themselves have proved tough to beat.

I think this will be very tight. It’ll be a very emotional game and everyone will be wanting Ukraine to do well.
They are a good side, in their group they finished second to France so that’s no mean feat. They’ve not been at the World Cup finals since 2006 and this is their first game since November.
I am going for Scotland, they should win this and they’ll be desperate to get a World Cup finals, with their last one being in 1998.
They did well in their group – 10 games, seven wins, two draws, just one defeat and they’ve won their last six qualifying games, so I fancy them. I think it’ll be extremely tight and I can see it being 1-0.
So I think it’ll just be the one goal in it and if you’re looking for a goalscorer, I’m backing Che Adams in this one.
