Paddy Power ambassador Phil Thompson turns his attention to Everton’s ongoing fight for survival against Brentford at Goodison Park on Sunday. The Toffees are two points clear of Leeds in the final relegation spot but have a game in hand and a vastly superior goal difference as well.
But Brentford will pose a stern test and Thomas Frank’s folk are in fine form heading into the end of the season. Can Everton get the win they badly need? Let’s see what Thommo thinks with his Everton v Brentford tips.
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
It’s tricky, this one, but there’s more at stake for Everton than there is Brentford. Brentford have had a wonderful time, they beat Southampton 3-0 last time out but everybody’s beating them at the moment.
They’ve won six of their last nine in the Premier League and they’ve won three of their last five away, have Brentford. They’ve had a really good end to the season, everything’s going well.
But Everton have seven points from their last three games. Everybody was expecting Everton to turn Watford over but they kept a clean sheet and they’ve had clean sheets in two of the last three Premier League games.
They’ve won four of their last nine. Because of how important it is for them, I am going for Everton to Win and if you want a goal scorer from me I do fancy Richarlison to Score Anytime. He seems to be the go-to man at the moment. I think that means Everton are going to be safe.
