We’ve got one of the lesser-played London derbies on the agenda on Saturday evening. It’s Brentford v Tottenham at 5.30pm with The Bees having enjoyed a good season and sitting safely in 12th.
WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
Spurs are in 4th and are facing stern competition for their Champions League spot from their old foes from across north London, Arsenal. Can Antonio Conte’s crew grab a vial win? Here’s Paddy Power ambassador Phil Thompson’s Brentford v Tottenham tips.
5.30pm: Brentford v Tottenham
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
Brentford have had a good run just of late, haven’t they? They’ve won their last three Premier League games, making it five in six, scoring 14 goals. It’s great and they’ve had, in their last two homes games, clean sheets, which will do them very well.
I just think it was a bit of a hiccup for Spurs, that loss against Brighton. I do think they will pick up because of it. They’ve won seven of their last 10 and away from home they’re good, they’ve won six of their last nine.
Harry Kane’s not scored in four so be ready for him trying his hardest to get back on the scoresheet. I’m going for an away win in this and it is maybe bucking the trend for what Brentford have done but Spurs are a different proposition.
I think they’ll have had a kick up the backside because of that loss to Brighton. I fancy Spurs to Win and Both Teams To Score. I’ve gone for Heung-min Son in the goal-scorer markets of late and he’s done us proud but I’m going for Harry Kane to Score Anytime.
