Saturday evening sees the second Bundesliga Klassiker of the season and it promises to be a thrilling affair. Both teams are in strong form of late and should the hosts take the three points here they’ll be assured of lifting their 16th title of the century.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Of course, Dortmund aren’t going to want that to happen against them so we can fully expect Marco Rose’s boys to try and spoil the party. We’ve gone deep into the stats here to find a value-packed four-legged Bet Builder.

Saturday 5.30pm: Bayern Munich v Borussia Dortmund
TV: Sky Sports Football

Over 3.5 Goals

Bayern have won three of their last five in all competitions, drawing one and losing one while at home in the Bundesliga have won eight of their last 10, drawing and losing one apiece and have scored 13 goals over their last five played at the Allianz. Dortmund have also won three, drawn one and lost one over their last five, winning three and drawing two of their last five on their Bundesliga jaunts, scoring a very healthy eight goals over those away games.

Over 3.5 Goals has landed in six of the last seven meetings between the sides in all competitions and in six of the last seven meetings played at the Allianz. With Bayern wanting to wrap up the title against their old rivals here and BVB obviously wanting to stop them we should see plenty of fireworks here so we’re going with Over 3.5 Goals for two teams in great goal-scoring form.

Erling Haaland to Score Anytime

Robert Lewandowski is going to be getting most of the traffic in this market and for good reason. Poland’s captain has 26 goals against his former employers over 25 appearances but we have to look at his Borussia Dortmund counterpart Erling Haaland here.

The young Norwegian, who looks likely to be signing for Manchester City over the summer, has 18 Bundesliga goals over 20 appearances and three in four Cup appearances so far this season and has found the net on five occasions in six appearances against the Bavarians. Getting Haaland to Score Anytime at this price is an absolute steal.

Julian Nagelsmann Bayern Munich

Jude Bellingham to be Booked

There’s something sneakily good about England’s Jude Bellingham which many don’t seem to have noticed about him, even the German press. He has the world at his feet, playing for one of the most exciting teams in European football and learning his trade there. He’s also been well rewarded by England manager Garth Southgate who has given him 12 appearances with the national side and he’s yet to turn 19.

Anyway, back to the sneaky part, he’s very cynical when it comes to his side losing the ball and winning it back. He’s by far the most booked player on BVB’s books this season with 10 yellow cards over 36 league and European matches this season.

Now, we’re not complaining about it, getting away with yellow cards and putting a halt to your opponents attacking is an artform that the likes to Xavi Alonso and Sergio Busquets perfected over their respective careers. In his role of protecting the back four, just like Alonso and Busquests, will no doubt be putting himself in harm’s way here against the Bundesliga’s champions-elect and the price on Bellingham to be Booked shows some great value.

Bayern Munich to win (Handicap Betting: -1)

While the romantic in us might want to see Dortmund throw a massive wrench into Bayern’s title push, the fact is that the hosts have beaten BVB in all five of their most recent visits to Bavaria. Indeed, if we look at matches played at both grounds, Bayern have won all seven of the most previous encounters.

Looking deeper into the games played at home, the hosts have won by at least two goals in four of their last five meetings at the Allianz and in three of their last five Bundesliga matches so Bayern (-1) looks like a very good price for those stats.
