Paddy Power ambassador Phil Thompson has, once again, shown his incredible staying power and he’s back in the ring for another swing ahead of Sunday’s Premier League action. Just the one Sunday showpiece from the top flight on the telly this weekend with the FA Cup semi finals also taking place at Wembley.
Not to be deterred, the Liverpool God is getting stuck in to unearth some more winning punts. Who’s going to triumph here, then, the Magpies or the Foxes? Here’s Thommo’s Newcastle v Leicester tips.
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
It’s a strange one, isn’t it, looking at the form of these two. Newcastle were absolutely flying and took themselves away from the relegation zone but they’d lost three before that big win against Wolves, 1-0 at home with a Chris Wood penalty.
Those three defeats were all away from home. At home they’ve won their last four. Leicester, they’ll be feeling quite excited. They’re through to the Europa Conference League semi finals with a 2-1 win against PSV Eindhoven.
They beat Crystal Palace last time out at home at the King Power. They’ve won four of their last six so maybe they’re just getting back in there. I just think, at home for Newcastle, I’m going to go for Both Teams To Score but Newcastle to Win.
