At the start of the season Huddersfield and Luton fans might not have been expecting to be right in the playoff mix with six games to go but they most certainly are. And now they’re there the spots are theirs to lose so the pressure is most certainly on.
Huddersfield are 4th, one place and one point above Luton, but the Hatters have the superior goal difference. Luton are one of three teams currently on 65 points and there’s just four points between themselves and Millwall in 9th.
WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
The title is all-but wrapped up and Bournemouth should probably go up automatically with Fulham. But it’s a proper bun fight for those playoff spots and this is a game that will have huge ramifications on the picture with just five games to go for both after this one.
So which way is this tight contest going to go? It’s a tough one to call but we’ll have a good go with a Bet Builder for Monday’s Championship clash.

The Draw
Maybe the pressure is starting to get to both of these, maybe they’re running out of steam. Whatever it is, their results haven’t been that great of late. Luton have won two of their last five, losing one and drawing their last two.
The Terriers have won just one of their last five, last time out against Hull, but lost three of the other four, drawing one. I can’t see this being anything other than tight as the reality of each side’s situation sets in.
I suspect The Draw is the most likely outcome. Luton could only share the spoils with rock-bottom Peterborough last time and Huddersfield have taken four points from a possible 15. Both might treat this as a must-not lose match and settle for the point.
Both Teams to Score
I fancy Both Teams To Score in this one, even if we don’t get a result either way. Luton have scored in their last 11 consecutive matches in all competitions, a run going back to just before Valentine’s Day.
Huddersfield have been less prolific and have gone through a bit of a lean spell recently. However, they’ve still netted in seven of their last 11 matches. Both are fallible at the back as well.
The Terriers have kept just one clean sheet in their last five while The Hatters boast an identical record. It’s two decent attacks and two middling defences which can only mean one thing, Both Teams to Score.

Elijah Adebayo to Score Anytime
Elijah Adebayo has been having a stellar season for Luton and he’s going to be the man with the most goals to his name on display on Monday. He’s racked up 16 in 37 matches, three more than Huddersfield’s top scorer, Danny Ward.
He’s in good recent goal-scoring form as well. He didn’t net last time out but scored in the two games prior to make it two in his last three. He’s only the 4th-shortest to score so we’re getting great value on Elijah Adebayoto Score Anytime.
Danny Ward to have 2+ Shots on Target
We may have gone with Adebayo to get a goal for Luton, but Ward is enjoying a good campaign and will need to be at his best if Town are to prevail in this one. With 13 goasls to his name so far, we can expect him to rattle off a few efforts.
