This a clash between two sides looking to consolidate a play-off place as 4th in the table host 5th. Form-wise, there is little to split these two at the moment. Of their last six in the league, Huddersfield have won three, drawn one and lost two while Luton have won three, drawn two and lost one.
Both sides have lost just twice in their last 10 in the league although, for Huddersfield, those defeats have come in their last three matches. The Terriers have been strong on their own patch, defeat to Bournemouth last time out was their first home defeat in nine while Luton have won three of the last six on their travels.
In fact, the two sides’ stats for the whole season read rather similar, including in the goals scored and conceded columns. Out of all the teams in the top half, only two have conceded more than Huddersfield and Luton, who have leaked 43 and 45 respectively, while they aren’t shy at the other end, either.
Luton are the third highest scorers in the league and out of their last six away games, both teams to score has landed in five. Huddersfield, meanwhile, are the joint-sixth highest scorers in the league. Those stats, then, suggest there could well be goals.
With little to separate the sides in terms of form, we’re backing the Draw and Both Teams to Score.
19:45 Bologna v Sampdoria: Bologna To Win

Monday’s Serie A action sees strugglers Sampdoria travel to Bologna, who are just three places and five points above them in the league. The visitors arrive here shorn of confidence having lost four of their last six in the league and seven of their last ten. Of their last six away from home, they’ve lost five and won only one with that win coming against a Venezia side who look destined for relegation.
The hosts are desperately seeking an upturn in fortunes themselves, having won just one of their last 10 in the league while at home they’ve won one, lost three and drawn two of their last six. They do, however, seem to relish playing against Sampdoria. They’ve won the last six on the bounce against them in the league and have also won the last six against them on this ground. In fact, Sampdoria are winless in their last 11 visits.
With Sampdoria racking up the losses recently and plummeting like a stone, we can’t see them putting an end to their woeful record in this fixture. The smart money here is on the hosts, so we’re going with Bologna To win.

20:00 Rayo Vallecano v Valencia: Under 2.5 goals

Rayo Vallecano welcome Valencia to the capital in the midst of a torrid run of form. The hosts have fallen to four defeats and two draws in the last six in the league and, going back even further, are winless in their last 10, losing seven of those.
Their home form leaves a lot to be desired, too, having lost four and drawn two of their last six. Interestingly, however, Rayo do possess the second-best home defensive record in the league, conceding just 11 on their own patch all season. Only Real Sociedad have leaked fewer goals at home.
Los Che arrive here having won three of their last six in the league while away from home they’re unbeaten in their last three, winning two of those. While they’ve been picking up points, they haven’t been in red-hot goalscoring form. In fact, they’ve failed to score more than one in five of their last six away matches and in seven of their last eight home or away.
While we expect Valencia to pick up the three points here, the combination of Rayo’s home defence and the visitors’ current lack of confidence in front of goal, we’re not expecting a classic. The smart money appears to be on Under 2.5 goals.

For the final leg of this acca, we’re heading stateside as Austin FC take on Minnesota United in the MLS. The sides have experienced very similar starts to the season, both winning two, drawing two and losing one of their opening five fixtures.
In terms of goals, the home side are second-highest scorers in the division, having clocked up 13 already, thanks largely to netting five in each of their first two games. Since then, they’ve scored in two of their next three, including two in their last outing against San Jose.
Minnesota, meanwhile, haven’t managed to reach those numbers just yet, scoring just five, but they have found the net in every game so far this season. With that in mind, the visitors should have more than enough to trouble an Austin side who haven’t kept a clean sheet since the season’s opening day.
Given those stats, we think both sides will threaten and we’re going for Both Teams to Score in this one.
