If there was one positive from the last two years, it was the staggered Premier League kickoffs.

You didn’t have any notion of what time it was by the end of your viewing – you just knew you’d swallowed two whole multipacks of Walkers Quavers, drank six cans of full fat coke and that the smell you’d began to create in the sitting room wasn’t going to stand you in good stead when your better half got home.

Now we’re sat watching multiple games at the same time and while that’s clearly an irritation, it does allow us to have three glances at one screen while we roar on a treble.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

So, what kind of Sunday can we expect? I fancy a few goals, you know. And there’ll be nobody complaining about that.

Here’s my 2pm kick-off tasty treble to round off the week. Or begin the week if you’re one of those oddballs who believes the week starts on Sunday.

Brentford v West Ham – Over 2.5 Goals

Neither of these know any other way in reality. Brentford’s 4-1 demolition of Chelsea was clearly an example of what can happen when things go very, very right. Christian Eriksen’s calming presence in the final third certainly helps that, too – as does the fact they’re safe from relegation.

They’ve hit the overs in three of their last four games, including wins over Chelsea and Norwich, as well as a loss to Leicester. In fact, there was a five game stretch in January where the overs always landed. It’s in their DNA and now they’re even looser.

West Ham have also landed the over in each of their last three games, with both teams scoring in each. Expect this to be high-octane.

Leicester v Crystal Palace – Both Teams to Score

I’m hesitant to use Man United as any sort of barometer for anyone, but I will say that I believe their draw with Leicester was the Foxes’ best performance of the year. Brendan Rodgers’ side look back in a groove and the only games in which they’ve failed to find the net this season were against Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool.

Against the weaker sides, they’re dynamite. Palace meanwhile are enjoying their best run of the season – winning three of their last five that includes a draw against City and a demolition job of Arsenal.

Confidence is high and they’ll not be sitting back.

Norwich v Burnley – Burnley to Win

Yes, please. I love seeing teams who’ve absolutely checked out like Norwich being at home against a side who are fighting for their lives, coming off a big result. This is the prototype odds-against punt. Burnley finding goals at the right time is a classic characteristic of them late in the year, so I would expect history to repeat itself once more.
