Stuttgart vs Borussia Dortmund: Dortmund to Win & Over 2.5 Goals

TV: Sky Sports Football, 7.30pm

Stuttgart have now gone four games undefeated in the Bundesliga but have a terrible record at home to Dortmund where they’ve lost four of their last five encounters, winning just one. At the Mercedes-Benz Arena the hosts have won just two of their last five, drawing one and losing two. Dortmund have won two, drawn two and lost one over their five most previous fixtures and are undefeated over their last six on their travels, winning and drawing three each.

All five previous meetings between the sides here have seen Over 2.5 Goals landing and both sides are in pretty decent goal-scoring shape. The hosts have scored nine over their last five at home with BVB netting nine over their last five on their Bundesliga excursions. The visitors though are in the better form of the two sides and their impressive stats away to Stuttgart should stand to them here. We’re backing Dortmund to Win and Over 2.5 Goals.

Newcastle vs Wolves: Wolves to Score Over 1.5 Goals

TV: Sky Sports Main Event, 8pm

Newcastle fans can’t really breathe easy yet that their team is totally out of trouble as they face Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal over their run-in and a couple of teams from the relegation zone too. Seven points separate them from Burnley in 18th but two losses and they could be right back in the relegation mix. Wolves are, once again, chasing European football and in scoring nine over their last five have certainly found their shooting boots as they push for European competition next season.

Toon have won two of their last five in the Premier League, losing the other three but their home form has seen them going five undefeated in the league, winning three and drawing two. The visitors have won three of their last five in the league losing the other two and share the same record on their league outings. Some glaring stats stood out to us here. Newcastle have scored just one goal over their last three league games while Wolves have scored nine over their last four in the Premier League. This has the whiff of a Draw about it but there’s some very good value here in backing Wolves to Score Over 1.5 Goals and keep their impressive goal-scoring run going.

Lorient vs St Etienne: Half-Time Draw

TV: BT Sport ESPN, 8pm

This one is massive for both teams. Lorient are in 16th position on 28 points with St Etienne two places below them on 27 points. Both teams then obviously need to win here if they have a chance of surviving the season. The hosts have won two of their last five in the league, drawing one and losing two while on home turf have won one, drawn two and lost two. The visiting side have won one of their last five league fixtures, drawing two and losing two while on the road have won two, drawn one and lost two.

As you can see then both are as inconsistent as the other and really either could pull off the win. Over their last 10 combined home and away fixtures though we can see a total lack of First Half goals, indeed Lorient have scored just one over their last five at home with St Etienne scoring two over their last five on the road. With those stats as well as Ligue Un survival on the line here we’re expecting a tense first half so we’re backing the first 45 minutes to end level.

Sevilla vs Granada: Sevilla to Win and Over 1.5 Goals

TV: LaLigaTV/ Free Sports, 8pm

Sevilla are short-odds to take the three points here but their form of late isn’t great, winning just one of their last five in all competitions, drawing three (losing one in extra-time) and losing one. In La Liga they share the same record of one win, three draws and a loss but their home league form has been outstanding and has seen them going 16 games without a loss, winning three and drawing two of their last five.

Granada are just three points above the relegation zone and could find themselves back in it if other results over the weekend don’t go their way. They’ve also won just one of their last five, drawing two and losing two, while on the road have won one and lost four of their five most previous La Liga encounters. Granada have conceded at least two goals in four of their last five on the road while Sevilla have scored at least two in three of their last five at home in the league. Sevilla to Win and Over 1.5 Goals has the value here.
