Exclusive: Grealish to join H&M on season-long loan after Gucci transfer

Huge if true

Boohoo’s Jack Grealish has signed for Italian giants Gucci in a lucrative seven-figure deal which will also see the England ace spend a season on loan at Swedish outfit H&M.

Gucci want Grealish to gain some experience before making the move to a higher-end fashion brand and the 26-year-old will spend the entire Spring/Summer season at H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB.

NEW TO PADDY POWER NEWS?

WELL, HOW DOES £/€20 AFTER SIGNING UP SOUND?

‘Ever since I was a boy running about the streets of Solihull in my 4-stripe trackies and the Air Max my nan brought me home from Turkey, I’ve always dreamed of signing for Gucci’, Grealish told Paddy Power News.

‘I’m looking forward to meeting up with the models at H&M, where I hope to gain some invaluable experience, before returning to Gucci to fight for my place on the catwalk’, he added.

Bosses at the luxury fashion company hastily arranged the loan spell after fashionistas questioned whether Grealish could make the leap from ten quid lilac hoodies to haute couture.

‘Leaving Boohoo to become brand ambassador at Gucci is like leaving Wrexham to sign for Real Madrid’, wrote Vogue.

‘I wonder if Gucci will release a custom edition flip-flop and slipper combo to commemorate the collab?’, they added.

Meanwhile, Paddy Power News also understands Gucci pre-warned Grealish about his life away from the catwalk during contract negotiations.

The Italians were said to be concerned by on-field distractions such as occasionally playing football for Manchester City and England.

‘People will question my loyalty and focus but I can confirm I am 100% committed to flogging over-priced clobber’, Grealish told us.

‘Occasionally my picture might end up in the paper because I’m spotted at football clubs and people get the wrong impression’.

‘All I ask is that people judge me based on what garment I’m trying to flog – not for what I do on the pitch’.
