Monday night’s football has us looking for value in the Italian Serie A where league leaders AC Milan host Bologna where the hosts can extend their lead at the summit of the table. In England, Crystal Palace’s recent run of good form will face a stern test against an Arsenal side who have won six of their last seven Premier League fixtures. In Spain, Real Sociedad will be eager to keep their European football dreams alive with a home win over Espanyol and in Portugal top-of-the league Porto welcome Santa Clara to the Estadio Do Dragao.

19:45: AC Milan vs Bologna – AC Milan to Win to Nil

At the time of writing Milan are three points ahead of Napoli in second and six ahead of Inter in third with both teams facing away trips to Atalanta and Juventus on Sunday. The hosts are in mighty form of late, enjoying a run of 10 games without defeat in all competitions. Their Serie stats have seen them go without a loss over their last eight games and over their last five have won three and drawn two. At the San Siro they’ve won two, drawn two and lost one over their last five played in the Serie A there.

Bologna have won just one of their last five fixtures, drawing two and losing two and their away form is terrible with one draw and four losses to their name over their last five on their Serie A outings. I Rossoblu have failed to find the back of the net in all three of their most recent fixtures and in three of their last five on the road too. Milan have now kept three clean sheets in a row in the league and three over their last five played on home soil so the best value here is in backing the Rossoneri to Win to Nil.

20:00: Crystal Palace vs Arsenal – Arsenal to Win and Over 1.5 Goals

Palace are unbeaten over their last six games played in all competitions, winning four and drawing two and their overall Premier League stats have seen them winning two, drawing two and losing one. Their home form leaves much to be desired though, drawing two and losing three over their last five league games at Selhurst Park. It must be pointed out here though that the Eagles have only lost two of their last five played at home against the Gunners, drawing two and winning one.

Arsenal’s form is incredibly good, winning six of their last seven with their away stats reading as five wins on-the-trot, scoring a very respectable 14. On form, Arsenal should come out on top but Palace’s recent form cannot be dismissed and they could well draw some blood against the visitors here. That being said the travelling side are scoring for fun of late and Palace’s home scored record stands at just four goals over their last five games in the Premier League. The value here is in backing Arsenal to Win and Over 1.5 Goals.

20:00: Real Sociedad vs Espanyol – Real Sociedad to Win

Sociedad’s recent form has seen them back in the reckoning for the European competition places, the hosts have won three, drawn one and lost one over their last five in La Liga while at the Anoeta Stadium things are looking even better with four wins and one draw over their last five league clashes.

Espanyol have been decent enough over their last five league fixtures, winning two, drawing two and losing one but their away form isn’t great with just one win, two draws and two losses and have only won one of their last six visits north to the Basque region. This one has Home Win written all over it.

20:15: Porto vs Santa Clara – Porto to Win to Nil

Porto can take another giant leap towards landing their 12th title of the 21st century with what should be a pretty easy win for the Dragons. Here’s an incredible stat for you; the hosts are undefeated over their last 55 Primeira Liga fixtures, a run that has seen them going 27 home league games without tasting defeat. Over their five most recent league games they’ve won four and drawn one while at home have won three and drawn two. They’ve really wiped the floor with Santa Clara over recent years too, winning nine of their last 10 meetings in all competitions, drawing the other but winning it on penalties.

The away side have drawn four of their last five in the league winning the other but three of those games ended 0-0 so they only scored in two of those five fixtures. Away from home they’ve won one, drawn three and won one but with that awful scoring record matched with Porto keeping three clean sheets over their last five we have to go with the value here in the Porto to Win to Nil market.
