Tuesday night is going to be a banger for us football fans. We’ll be looking at two of the World Cup Playoff Qualifiers where Poland host Sweden and Portugal entertain North Macedonia.

Elsewhere there are a couple of friendlies where we’ve found some value which include Netherlands taking on Germany and Wales hosting the Czech Republic. Let’s have a look then at what we’ve found in the markets.

19.45: Poland v Sweden – Poland to Win

TV: Sky Sports Red Button

Poland were given a bye and didn’t have to face Russia for obvious reasons in the first round of qualifications last week. Instead the Poles travelled to Glasgow and took on a Scotland side who had been due to play Ukraine. Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney put the hosts ahead in the 68th minute but Poland’s Krzysztof Piatek scored an injury-time leveller to rescue a draw. Interestingly, Poland’s captain Robert Lewandowsky didn’t feature in that game. Sweden played Czech Republic in their first qualifier last Thursday and made it into the second round thanks to an extra time goal from substitute Robin Quaison.

Both teams are in good overall form, Poland have lost just one of their last 10 fixtures, winning five and drawing three. Sweden have won five, drawing two (winning one and losing one in extra-time) and losing two. The away form of the Swedes is worrying though, on their travels they’ve won just two of their last 10, drawing one and losing seven while Poland have won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five on Polish soil. With Sweden just scoring one goal over their last three games coupled with their terrible away form we have to side with the home team here.

19.45: Portugal v North Macedonia – Both Teams to Score

TV: Sky Sports Action

North Macedonia have beaten Germany and Italy over their qualification campaign and while obviously underdogs here they’ll be confident of pulling off yet another shock on the European stage. Of their last five games they’ve won four and lost one, scoring a total of 13 while conceding five. Portugal choked in their final Group A game where they could have secured automatic qualification, they went ahead early in the game but ended up losing 1-2. They were very good in their first playoff match though, beating Turkey 3-1 on home turf.

There’s little doubt Portugal should win here but Macedonia cannot be dismissed, especially with that goal-scoring record and we can see Macedonia getting at least one against a Portuguese side who have conceded in three of their last five at home. Portugal should win here but we’ve seen them slip up to Serbia and Ireland recently and with the away side’s record of taking heavyweight scalps we can’t rule out another shock here. We’re getting better value in backing both teams to get on the scoresheet.

19.45: Netherlands v Germany – Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals

Both teams come into this one in mighty form, Netherlands are unbeaten over their last eight games, winning six and drawing two while Germany have won all eight of their most recent fixtures. Of their last five games the hosts have won four and drawn one, scoring 15 while at home they’ve won all five of their most previous fixtures, scoring 22.

Germany have netted 21 over their last five wins both home and away while their recent away games (not including the Euros) have seen them also winning all five, scoring 15. With both teams in such ripe goal-scoring form and, of course, this being a faceoff between two old European rivals we should see plenty of goals here and we’re getting some great value for Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals landing.

19.45: Wales v Czech Republic – Both Teams to Score

Wales saw off Austria on Thursday and will play the winner of the Scotland v Ukraine qualifier after it was rescheduled. Czech Republic were put to the sword by Sweden as mentioned earlier and will have to watch the World Cup on their TVs this winter. Wales will want to keep their good form going, they’re unbeaten over their last eight games, winning four and drawing four while the Czechs have won three and drawn three of their last six (losing one in extra-time).

Wales have scored a total of 11 over their five most recent games while the visitors have netted 13 over their last five games played. With both in decent goal-scoring shape then we’re getting some decent odds here for BTTS occurring.
