Our savvy footy tipster Paddy Murphy's back with a juicy value-packed acca

* All prices are bang up to date with our snazzy widgets, while odds in copy are accurate at time of publishing but subject to change.

Tuesday night’s football has quite the mix available for us to go looking for value in. The big matches of the night are, of course, in the Champions League where Liverpool take an aggregate lead of 2-0 into their Last 16 clash with Serie A heavyweights Inter. In the other Champions League game Bayern Munich are tied 1-1 with Austria’s RB Salzburg. Bolton take on relegation-threatened Morecambe in League One and kicking us off is the televised EFL Trophy semi-final between Wigan and Sutton.

19:45 Wigan vs Sutton Utd: Wigan Over 1.5 Goals

TV: Sky Sports Main Event

Wigan come into this match as firm favourites with the market – the League One side are in the superior form of the two having won three of their last five fixtures, drawing one and losing one. Meanwhile, at the DW Stadium their form is even better having lost just one of their last 10 in all competitions. They’ve won four of their last five at home, scoring seven and conceding four, keeping three clean sheets over those five fixtures.

Sutton have won two of their last five, drawing two and losing one. Their away form isn’t bad with one win, three draws and one loss over their last five away games. While they’ve been tough to beat on their travels, it’s hard to argue against Wigan’s great run of form at home and their record of clean sheets, too. Now, we could go with the odds for them to win here but we see that Wigan have scored at least two in three of their last five at home and we’re liking the value here for Wigan Over 1.5 Goals.

20:00 Bolton vs Morecambe: Bolton to Win to Nil

TV: EFL iFollow

Morecambe’s League One days are looking numbered with just one win in their last 10 games. They’re winless in their last five, drawing two and losing three. Their away form is even poorer with one draw and four losses in-a-row over their last five, scoring just three goals; failing to score in three of them and conceding 10.

Bolton have won three of their last five games, losing the other two. On home soil, the Trotters have won all of their last six League One encounters, scoring at least two goals in all six of those games. Over those six, they’ve scored 19 and conceded just two. With the home side in such strong form and keeping so many clean sheets and the Shrimps struggling to find the back of the net the best value here is in backing Bolton to Win to Nil.

20:00 Bayern Munich vs Salzburg: Bayern to Win & BTTS

TV: BT Sport 3

Bayern’s form isn’t as stellar as you’d expect from the Bavarians. Over their last five games in all competitions they’ve won two, drawn two and lost one. Their home form reads as three wins, one draw and one loss, scoring 13 and conceding six with Both Teams to Score landing in four and Over 2.5 goals also occurring in four. Salzburg are unbeaten over their last nine matches and gave Bayern a run for their money in the first leg. Bayern, though, enjoyed much of the possession and had more shots on goal in that game while on home turf Die Rotten’s record in the Champions League is nothing short of outstanding with nine wins over their last 10 in the competition.

However, Bayern have only kept three clean sheets over their last 10 games at home and face a Salzburg side who have scored nine over their last five games. For sure, the Austrian Bundesliga isn’t of the same level as the German one but they’re a side full of goals facing a Bayern side that don’t put much pass on keeping clean sheets. All that being said, the host’s experience in the competition should make all the difference and we think there’s some very good value here in backing Bayern to Win & BTTS.

20:00 Liverpool vs Inter: Liverpool to Win & Over 1.5 Goals

TV: BT Sport 2

Liverpool are short odds favourites to do the business against Inter in their return leg here. The Reds have won nine of their last 10 games, drawing the Carabao Cup final and winning it on penalties. At Anfield, Jurgen Klopp’s side are unbeaten over their last 22 games in all competitions. Of their last five they’ve won all of them, scoring 14 and conceding just two.

Inter’s form isn’t great, they’ve won just one of their last five, drawing two and losing two while their away form has seen them drawing four and winning one, failing to score in three of them. It’s arguable that a successful defence of their Serie A title is what concerns Inter, especially after they created plenty of chances against Liverpool in the first leg and still got beaten 0-2. The Reds have scored at least two in six of their last seven at Anfield and in such great goal-scoring form, facing a side who are having zero luck on their travels, we’re backing Liverpool to Win & Over 1.5 Goals.

*All four of these picks in a four-fold Acca will give you odds of 14/1.*
