Well, the good news for Leicester is that they’ve finally won a game. The bad news is that it was in a Europa Conference League playoff. Even worse, they followed up last Thursday’s win with a 2-1 loss to Wolves in the Premier League at the weekend, squandering any momentum that might have given them.

It’s dire straights for Brendan Rodgers’ merry band of Foxes who now have one win in their last seven games in all competitions. Let’s try and keep this upbeat for a minute and focus on the positives, as they say.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS

They absolutely battered Randers in their Europa Conference playoff knockout thingamajig. Of course, being Leicester, they still managed to concede against Denmark’s 6th-best side.

It’s so hard to stay away from the negatives around the club at the moment so maybe I’ll just lay off the spin and get to the cold-hard facts. Here’s your 3 best bets for Randers v Leicester on Thursday night in the Europa Conference League playoff.

Brendan Rodgers

Thursday 5.45pm: Randers v Leicester
TV: BT Sport 3

Short-priced punt: Both Teams to Score

Death, taxes and Both Teams to Score landing when Leicester City Football Club step onto the pitch. I don’t feel like I need to say anymore about this, but seeing as you’re here I will.

This clicked for us last Thursday and would have in 14 of their last 17 matches. Other than two games with Liverpool, and the 4-0 battering of Newcastle back when they were absolutely pants, both teams have scored in every game they’ve played since the end of November and this is as nailed on as it gets.

Value Play: Leicester Win, Most Corners & Randers Most Cards

For a value play I’ll be dipping my toe into the #WhatoddsPaddy markets and I like the look and the price on Leicester to Win, Leicester Most Corners & Randers Most Cards. Despite their recent struggles I think we can quite safely assume that Leicester will win here.

They played a fairly-heavily rotated squad in the first leg and still got the job done in emphatic style and the tie should be over. In the first leg Leicester had five corners to Randers’ two and there’s nothing to suggest that will be reversed here.

Wilfred Ndidi Leicester

The most dangerous part of the bet could be Randers to have the most cards. There were a big fat zero in the first leg but The Foxes are really well disciplined and, other than the four they picked up at the weekend, they’ve picked up just five cards in the eight matches prior. With Randers on the back foot I think it’s worth chancing your arm that they get a little more stuck in in front of their own fans.

Long Shot: Leicester Win Each Half, Lookman to Score & Leicester Most Corners in Each Half

In a game that’s tricky to find value, we’re having another go in the #WhatoddsPaddy markets again for your long shot and I think Leicester to Win Each Half, Ademola Lookman to Score & Leicester to Have Most Corners in Each Half might be worth a go.

We’ve already touched in the corner situation and, obviously, we’re not sure if Ademola Lookman is going to start. He started in the 1st leg and at the weekend so I think there’s a chance Rodgers keeps the faith in him again. If he gets the full 90 there’s a good chance he nets. The Foxes are expected to dominate the match and we can also expect them win both halves.
