It is difficult to fathom Arsenal and Wolves were rooted to the foot of the Premier League table with no points or goals scored after the first three games of the season.
Both are now two of the most in-form teams in the division and have realistic ambitions of qualifying for Europe.

Arsenal’s transformation has been incredible since those early days of the season. The Gunners conceded nine goals in their first three games and were swatted aside by both Chelsea and Manchester City after a miserable 2-0 defeat at Brentford on the opening day. They have taken 19 points from their last available 24 in the league and are now the best-placed team in the race for the Champions League thanks to their games in hand.
Wolves, on the other hand, were desperately unlucky to lose each of their opening three games against Leicester, Tottenham, and Manchester United but have now exacted revenge on each of those clubs by winning the reverse fixtures. They will hope to do the same against an Arsenal side that beat them just two weeks ago.

Wolves to win
Bruno Lage’s side have won five of their last six league games and boast the fifth-best away record in the league, taking 23 points on the road compared to just 17 points at home.
They have won each of their last four away fixtures, including games at Manchester United and Tottenham, and can throw yet another spanner in the works in the race for fourth with all three points at the Emirates.
Under 2.5 goals
Wolves may be seventh, just six points off fourth-placed Manchester United with two games in hand, but they are by far the least exciting teams to watch in the Premier League in terms of goals. Lage’s side have scored just 23 goals in 24 games this season – the third worst goalscoring record in the division – while they have conceded just 18 goals in the same period – the joint-second best defensive record.
They have been involved in a meagre 41 goals in the league this season. No side has been involved in fewer. Just six of their 24 games have seen more than 2.5 goals, with just two of their 13 away league games witnessing three goals or more.
Both teams have scored in just seven of Wolves’ games this season and just three of their away outings. They boast the joint-best away defensive record in the league and can frustrate an Arsenal side that has scored just four goals in their last seven games in all competitions.
Mikel Arteta’s side have conceded six goals in the same period, making it unlikely that Wolves will finally throw off the shackles and go goal crazy.

Wolves to have four or more shots on target
Wolves’ troubles in front of goal are confusing considering they are generally an exciting team to watch going forward. Lage’s side create plenty of chances and have had 27 shots on target in their last six league games at a rate of 4.5 per game.
They hit the target six times in their deserved win at Old Trafford at the start of January and seven times in their equally deserved win at Tottenham two weeks ago. Even when they lost their first three games of the season while failing to score a goal, they had a total of 15 shots on target and were desperately unlucky not to score in each game.
They managed four shots in their defeat to Arsenal at Molineux two weeks ago and are more than capable of at least matching that tally again at the Emirates.
Over 10.5 corners
Wolves and Arsenal shared 11 corners between them when they met at Molineux two weeks ago and can be expected to do something similar on Thursday night. Wolves have won 30 corners in their last six league games at a rate of exactly five per game, while Arsenal have won 43 corners in their last six league outings at a rate of more than seven per game.
The Gunners have won a whopping 26 corners in their last two home games and although they are unlikely to reach similar numbers against Wolves on Thursday, they should come close to matching their six-game average. Wolves, on the other hand, stand a good chance of winning several corners, especially if they manage to land four or more shots on target.
