Liverpool God and Paddy Power ambassador Phil Thompson is looking to see out the Premier League weekend in style. He’s back one last time this game week to deliver his definitive verdict on Leicester v West Ham at 4.30pm on Sunday.
WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS
It’s all going wrong for Leicester and they’re in shocking form while West Ham continue to go about pulling up trees in their hunt of European football. This looks to be pretty one sided on form, but what does Thommo think? Here’s his Leicester v West Ham tips.
4.30pm: Leicester v West Ham
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
What is happening to Leicester? I’ve never heard Brendan Rodgers criticise a side as he did after that FA Cup defeat against Nottingham Forest. Lost 4-1, could have been worse.
He left Youri Tielemans out at Anfield which was quite surprising, I do think he’s a player and I’d be quite happy with him at Liverpool. I think his contract’s running down and that might be a factor.
But Leicester are having and absolutely shocking time. Injuries, lack of form, Caglar Soyuncu was left out against Liverpool. They’ve not won any of their last four games in all competitions, losing three of them.
They’ve taken just one point on their last three Premier League games and they’re sliding down the table. I do think Brendan’s under a bit of pressure, I really do. It would be interesting to see what price he is in the sack race market…

They’ve conceded 20 goals in their last eight games in all competitions. That’s not good. West Ham, they must be feeling good. They’ve won six of their last eight in all competitions, they’ve won just two of their last seven away in the Premier League, though, losing four of them.
They’re not flying but West Ham won this game at the King Power last season, 3-0, so it was a resounding victory for them. I’m going for them to win this one as well and by a tight score line, 2-1 to West Ham.
I think Both Teams will Score and if you want a goal scorer, Jarrod Bowen to Score Anytime, he’s been in fine form.
