Paddy Power ambassador, Liverpool legend and all round good egg Phil Thompson returns on Sunday to give you some more wise wagers as the FA Cup rumbles on. There’s a fascinating encounter on Sunday afternoon in the shape of an east Midlands derby between Nottingham Forest and Leicester.
The Foxes have been disappointing this season while Forest are enjoying a resurgence in The Championship after a woeful start. Can Premier League class prevail or will this one go with the side in better form? Here’s Thommo’s Nottingham Forest v Leicester tips.
Nottingham Forest beat Arsenal which was a fantastic result for Steve Cooper’s side. He’s done absolutely terrific with them, by the way. But they did get beat by Cardiff last weekend which will have dented their promotion hopes.
He’s done brilliant, Steve Cooper. Beating Arsenal in the last round will fill them with hope but what to we make of Leicester? They are a strange one, aren’t they? You look at them and they’ve had two games postponed, people will go, ‘Oh they should be fresh’.
They got beat with two late goals against Spurs at home and then they draw against Brighton. They’ve won only three of their last 11 Premier League games but they’re a top flight side. Check the team sheets first, but I do fancy Leicester to Win and I’m going for James Maddison to Score Anytime.
He does like these games where he can get a lot more of the ball, playing against Forest that should be the case. I do have Both Teams To Score in this as well.
