Paddy Power ambassador Phil Thompson knows a thing or two about derbies having played for Liverpool in the 70s and 80s. The Kop idol also won the FA Cup during his time at Anfield so there’s really no one better to take a look at Millwall v Crystal Palace on Saturday for us.
The big man is anticipating a tight game between these two south London sides but both are a touch out of nick. With local bragging rights on the line, here’s Thommo’s Millwall v Crystal Palace tips.
I’m just coming down on the side of Crystal Palace to Win this one. On January 2nd, Millwall got beat 3-2 away at Bristol City, they’re sitting 11th in The Championship, seven points off the playoffs and have lost three of their last five.
Palace, obviously, got beat 3-2 against West Ham in their last outing and they were at home. They’ve had just two wins in their last nine Premier League games. I’m going for Both Teams to Score, I fancy that.
Palace have gone out at the 3rd round in the last two seasons so they’ll want to improve on that. A lot of the Palace fans thought that Roy [Hodgson] and the club’s ownership wanted to get out of the cup to concentrate on survival.

I’m going for Both Teams to Score and Palace to nick this 2-1. I think Christian Benteke will start this one and I’m going for him to Score Anytime if he’s fit.
