Friday night’s football acca has us focusing on the best four fixtures of the night’s offering. We’ll be flirting with Portuguese football where Estoril entertain Famalicao as well as some Spanish action, where Celta Vigo take on Espanyol. In Italy, defending Serie A champions Inter travel to bottom-in-the-league Salernitana but first to the Championship where second-from-bottom Barnsley face third-placed West Brom. Let’s find some value bets!

19.45: Barnsley v West Brom – Under 2.5 Goals

Barnsley have won just one of their last 20 Championship games and since the sacking of Markus Schopp in early November new manager Poya Asbaghihas has yet to win over his four games at the helm. West Brom are enjoying a run of four games undefeated and currently sit third in the league table on 40 points after 22 games. The Baggies have been struggling a bit for goals of late, scoring just three goals over their last five in the league, sharing the same statistic on their league excursions.

The Tykes have also scored just three over their five most previous games and just five over their last five at home. Difficult to see this one being admitted into the annals of classic football matches and with both struggling for goals of late, albeit West Brom in the superior form, we have to go with Under 2.5 goals here.

19.45: Salernitana v Inter – Inter to Win to Nil

On just eight points after 17 games, bottom-of-the-pile Salernitana looked doomed to relegation and with six losses at home over their eight games that trend should continue against an Inter side who have now won seven of their last eight in the league. Six of those seven wins saw the visitors keeping a clean sheet too and with the hosts scoring just five goals over their eight home league games, that’s an average of just 0.63 goals per game. They’re conceding 2.0 on average and in facing off against an Inter side who are keeping so many clean sheets of late we’re getting a great value price here for Inter to Win to Nil.

20.00: Celta Vigo v Espanyol – Under 0.5 First Half Goals

Celta Vigo have been in fighting form of late, from losing positions against both Barcelona and Villarreal they drew level against both. Over their three games since they’ve won one, drawn one and lost one. At the Estadio Municipal de Balaidos their results aren’t anything worth boasting about with just one win over their last six on home soil, losing three and drawing two. Espanyol have won three of their last five in La Liga, losing the other two but their away form is atrocious, losing four of their last five and drawing the other.

Some interesting stats jumped out at us here. The home side have scored just eight home goals this campaign, only one of which was in the first period of play. The visitors have scored just five over their La Liga travels, only two of which were during the first first period of play. Under 0.5 First Half goals is available and we’ll be having some of that thank you very much.

21.15: Estoril v Famalicao – Both Teams to Score

Neither side are coming into this league meeting in the best of shape although both are at least scoring goals. Estoril have won just one of their last five in the league, drawing three and losing one, at home they share the same record. Famalicao have won one, drawn one and lost three of their last five in the Primeira Liga while on their away trips have won two, drawn one and lost two over their last five.

The home side have scored seven over their last five at home and five over their last five overall while the visitors have scored 11 over their last five away league games and seven over their last five. Both Teams to Score has landed in four of the host’s last five at home and in three of Famalicao’s last five and we see it as the best bet here.

Friday’s acca:

19.45: Barnsley v West Brom – Under 2.5 Goals
19.45: Salernitana v Inter – Inter to Win to Nil
20.00: Celta Vigo v Espanyol – Under 0.5 First Half Goals
21.15: Estoril v Famalicao – Both Teams to Score
