It’s ominous times for Newcastle as, despite their newly accrued vast wealth, the sit second bottom of the Premier League with only Norwich’s embarrassing goal difference keeping them from being rock bottom. However, last time out at Leicester they did their best to match Norwich’s total, as they were battered 4-0 by The Foxes and things only get harder on Thursday night!
That’s because The Magpies must travel to Anfield to take on a seemingly unstoppable Liverpool outfit, who have won their last seven games on the bounce! So, who better to ask for thoughts on the game than Reds icon and Paddy Power ambassador Phil Thompson? We won’t spoil it, but he’s picks don’t make good reading if you are a Newcastle fan.
Liverpool will be in a lot of acca’s this week, especially after Newcastle’s 4-0 defeat at Leicester on Sunday. This Newcastle team hasn’t won away from home this season, so they really haven’t got a lot of hope.
The Reds have kept 10 clean sheets this season, so it’s looking bleak for The Magpies. That’s why I’m going for Liverpool To Win To Nil, along with Liverpool (-2) on the Handicap betting. I don’t see anything else, but a Liverpool demolition job here.
Mo Salah is an obvious goalscorer pick, but I feel Diogo Jota is the way to go. He came off the bench against Aston Villa and he should start here. Diogo Jota To Score Anytime will do me!
