Brentford’s away record is what keeps them surprising people on the contrary. They’ve netted more away goals than nine of the 10 bottom half sides, and scored just one fewer than Spurs and Arsenal combined.
Antonio Conte’s first job is to make them solid and rely on the magic of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min to produce. It’s the formula that worked for seven weeks under Jose Mourinho and whether we like it or not, it’s probably the way forward.
Norwich haven’t reached peak desperation levels yet and so they’re not going all-out to win games, so they’ll avoid being thumped in the process of chasing a result. Expect them to go very rigid and not allow Son time and space in channels where Spurs get most of their goals from. That game against Brentford was the blueprint – tight-knit contests that limit the opposition.
