Our tipster Colin Harvey's looking to finish the weekend in style.

Sunday night always sees a smattering of decent games across Europe with La Liga, Ligue 1 and Serie A continuing to provide top-quality content on a weekly basis. This weekend MLS have thrown their hat into the ring with some post-season playoff action.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

In Italy it’s Genoa v Roma, Lyon v Marseille in France, New York City v Atlanta United in MLS playoffs and La Liga leaders Real Sociedad play Valencia. So, if Sunday’s Premier League servings aren’t enough for you there’s still loads of elite action to enjoy into the night.

And, if you’re so inclined, I’ve rummaged through Paddy’s markets to bring you a fiery four fold acca that’s absolutely bristling with value. So, let’s get into your Sunday evening football accumulator.

7.45pm: Genoa v Roma – The Draw

TV: BT Sport 1

Genoa in 17th take on 6th placed Roma on Sunday evening and both sides are in poor form. After a strong start with nine wins in 11 games, Jose Mourinho’s men have won just one of their last seven in all competitions.

Sunday’s hosts love a draw and have ended level in six of their last eight. They’ve won just twice with both coming in their first four games of the season. They’ve also had five losses thrown in this term.

Roma’s form on the road has been their undoing with four out of six Serie A away days ending in defeat. But, given Genoa’s inability to claim that win and their unquenchable thirst for sharing the spoils, coupled with Roma’s poor away form, I think it might be worth siding with The Draw here as you can’t really trust either side to take all three points.

7.45pm: Lyon v Marseille – Marseille Win/Draw Double Chance

TV: BT Sport 2

Next up is the Clash of the Olympics, or Choc des Olympiques to the locals. It’s Marseille heading to Lyon in a meeting of two of France’s most underwhelming clubs this year. Lyon are 8th and Marseille are 4th – both miles off Paris St-Germain at the top.

Historically Lyon hold the upper hand in this contest but they shared two 1-1 draws last season. Like Genoa, Marseille have been plagued by draws in 2021/22. They’re currently on an seven-game unbeaten run in all competitions but boast just two wins over that time.

Lyon are easier to beat with two losses in their last four both domestically and in Europe but they have the winning touch that Marseille don’t, with five victories in their last eight, though their best form has come in the Europa League.

It all boils down to a tricky contest to call. I’m tempted to go for The Draw again but as they’re so hard to beat (just two losses all season) I’ll go safer with Marseille Win/Draw Double Chance so we’re covered for two thirds of eventualities.

8pm: New York City v Atlanta United – Under 2.5 Goals

TV: Sky Sports Football and FreeSports

Hopping across the pond where New York City host Atlanta United in a contest that is as tight as it gets. NYC finished the regular season 4th in the Eastern Conference, one spot above Atlanta. They both ended on 51 points but City had a goal difference +12 superior to their opponents here which has earned them home advantage in this post-season playoff.

The best place to start is by looking at their two meetings this season. NYC beat Atlanta 1-0 on home turf back in June and the pair shared a 1-1 draw down in Georgia in October. Pretty close, eh?

I have a feeling NYC will prevail again, such is the nature of home advantage in MLS, but I like the look of Under 2.5 Goals at a bigger price. It clicked in the two games between the pair this season as well as eight of City’s last 10 and six of United’s last nine.

8pm: Real Sociedad v Valencia – Real Sociedad to Win and BTTS

TV: LaLigaTV

La Liga leaders Real Sociedad welcome 10th-placed Valencia to Estadio Anoeta looking to keep their noses ahead of Real Madrid and Sevilla who are lurking ominously in 2nd and 3rd, both one point back with a game in hand. They should face little resistance against Los Murcielagos.

Sociedad have lost just once all season, away at Barcelona in their opening game of the campaign. Valencia have lost four of their last nine, also winning four this year with three of those coming in their first four games.

Adding the home side to win to this acca gives us a fair price, but we can eke out even more value by upgrading that to Real Sociedad to Win and Both Teams to Score. Valencia have netted in 12 of their 13 games this season including against Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

It’s certainly been entertaining following the away side but probably as frustrating in equal measure. They’ve seen 41 goals in their 13 games so there should be plenty of action here. With a home win most likely I think Real Sociedad to Win and Both Teams to Score is a really nice play.
