Paddy’s Hall of Fame: Brilliant acca sees footie punter land £2,461 off just £5 stake

A 90th minute goal secured the monies.

It wouldn’t be a normal week without a punter taking us to the cleaners and that happened again on Saturday November 13 as one lucky punter managed to turn a £5 acca into an impressive £2,461 after their fabulous footie five-fold landed.

Our winner – who hails from Langport in Somerset – went all in on the Result & Both to Score market on Saturday and the bet came in at huge odds of 491/1. Let’s tell you how it landed.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

Despite most people in the UK turning their attention from the Premier League to international football, for our lucky punter, it was all eyes on League One and the National League.

Accrington v Plymouth, Kings Lynn v Wrexham and Yeovil v Eastleigh were all on the bet slip, with our punter backing Plymouth, Wrexham and Yeovil all to win and BTTS.

Plymouth ran out 4-1 winners, Yeovil won 2-1 and Wrexham came out on top in a thrilling 6-2 clash. Attention then turned to MK Dons v Cambridge Utd and Torquay v Dover.

Promotion hopefuls MK Dons went 4-0 up at home against mid-table Cambridge and our punter would have been fearing that Liam Manning’s side would keep a clean sheet. However, Cambridge’s Sam Smith stepped up in the 82nd minute to make it 4-1 and to tick off another leg on the betslip.

That left just one game remaining between our soon-to-be Hall of Famer and £2,461. Torquay v Dover saw 14th face off against bottom, with Dover currently on -9 points after being hit with a deduction.

Dover are yet to win in the league this season, however, Travis Gregory put the visitors ahead after just three minutes. That meant our punter needed two Torquay goals to scoop the jackpot – and up steps Armani Little.

The midfielder levelled the scoreline with a fine finish from outside the box in the 34th minute. Dover were clinging on to their first point of the season but luckily for our punter, Little had other ideas.

He fired home a tidy left-footed volley from inside the box in the 90th minute to stun Dover and leave our punter bouncing around his living room.

That 2-1 scoreline meant our lucky punter scooped the £2,461 prize pot. So, all we can do is welcome yet another lucky winner to our Punting Hall Of Fame!
