There’s a busy night of football ahead of us this coming Friday and we’ve gone through the best of what’s on offer to scoop up some potential value across the markets. We’ll be calling in on the German Bundesliga, Italy’s Serie A, the Premier League and Spain’s La Liga where we’ve uncovered a four-fold Acca that could get our weekend off to a mighty start. First up we have Mainz taking on Borussia Monchengladbach.

7.30pm: Mainz vs Monchengladbach: Both Teams to Score No Draw

TV: Sky Sports Football

While Mainz’s fifth position in the league might make them seem like favourites here, it must be said that ‘Gladbach have put their shaky start behind them and have now only lost one of their last six in all competitions. Mainz have won two of their last five in all competitions, drawing one (winning it in Extra Time) and losing two. Their home Bundesliga stats are strong though, winning three of their last five, drawing one and losing one.

‘Gladbach have won three of their last five in all competitions, drawing one and losing one. Their away Bundesliga record is poor, however, winning just one of their last five, losing the other four. At the Mewa Arena ‘Gladbach have a great record, they’ve beaten the home side in four of their last five visits, the other ended level.

With very few draws seen for both teams this season, just three over a combined 20 games, as well as ‘Gladbach’s strong record here, we should see a winner. Mainz, though, are good enough to also take the three points and they’ll see this match as an opportunity to finally end ‘Gladbach’s dominance in their own backyard. Both teams are averaging 1.40 and 1.20 goals per Bundesliga game this season so the best value here is backing BTTS, No Draw at some very decent odds.

7.45pm: Empoli vs Genoa: The Draw

TV: BT Sport 2

Neither side are at their best here it must be said. Empoli have won just two of their last five games, losing the other three. At home in the league it’s even worse where they’ve won just one of their last five, losing the other four. Genoa have drawn three of their last five in the league.

Away from home, it’s slightly better where they’ve won one, drawn two and lost two. The home side are the favourites but Genoa have proven time and again this season that they’re very tough to beat, losing by just a goal in their two defeats on their travels.

Empoli’s single home win this season wouldn’t fill anyone with confidence here and, aside from that 4-2 win over Bologna in September, they only scored in three of their five other home Serie A games. Saying that, Genoa, while tough to beat, haven’t exactly shown a killer instinct to win games. We’re looking at The Draw price here for two teams that don’t average many goals.

8pm: Southampton vs Villa: Villa to Score Over 0.5 SH Goals

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

Southampton have won two of their last five competitive fixtures, drawing two (losing one on penalties) and losing one. At home in the league things aren’t exactly great where they’ve won just one, drawing three and losing one. Villa are in bad shape, they’ve won just one of their last five games, losing all four of the others. Their away Premier League form is just as bad where they share the same record.

Villa’s silver lining though is that they are at least scoring. They’ve scored at least one in their last five overall fixtures and in four of their last five away Premier League games. Over their away games they’ve failed to score any goal in the First Half of their matches, scoring all in the second half. Southampton have conceded four home goals this season, three of them in the Second Half. Villa to Score Over 0.5 Second Half goals has the value here.

8pm: Athletic Bilbao vs Cadiz: Both Teams To Score

TV: Premier Sports 1, LaLigaTV and FreeSports

Athletic Bilbao are unbeaten over their five most recent games and at the San Mames Barria have won three, drawn one and lost one over their last five in La Liga. They’re odds-on favourites to take the three points here against a Cadiz side who have only won one league game so far this campaign. The away side have drawn three and lost two of their last five La Liga encounters, away from home they’ve won one, drawn two and lost two.

Hard to see the away side coming away with anything here but it must be said that they’ve scored in four of their five away games this season and Bilbao don’t keep many clean sheets, just two over their last five at home and just one over their last five home and away games. The home side’s recent form though should see them come out on top over the full 90 minutes, but there’s a good value price available for Both Teams to Score.
