With Manchester United in the doldrums, who better to take a look at their trip to Tottenham than Liverpool great Phil Thompson. However, the Paddy Power ambassador is as professional as always and doesn’t rub last weekend in too much.
But United can’t wallow in the mire as they take on Tottenham in Saturday’s late game. It’s not good news though as Thommo thinks things might get even more bleak for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Here’s the big man’s thoughts on this one.
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
I’m not going for Manchester United to bounce back here. They’ve lost five of their last nine in all competitions. They’ve conceded 11 in their last three games and that is not Manchester United. It doesn’t look, to me, as though they’re going to keep a clean sheet in this one.
Having said that, Spurs have only had 94 goal attempts in the Premier League, only Norwich have had fewer with 89. Can Spurs take advantage of that weak backline of Manchester United? They’ll feel venerable after that Liverpool game so I am going for Spurs just to Win this via a slight scoreline.
I think Both Teams Will Score because I don’t think either are very good defensively so I’m going for Spurs to Win this game on Saturday evening. I’m going 2-1 to Tottenham.
Maybe not a lot of value in Harry Kane being a goal scorer, but with Son Heung-min and Lucas Moura up front as a three, I think they will take the game to Manchester United. Check the team sheets before you have your bet on a goal scorer but I do fancy Son to Score Anytime.
