Who’d have thought Leeds would be doing this badly? Marcelo Bielsa’s boys are down in 17th and sit just three places above their opponents on Sunday, Norwich. Paddy Power ambassador Phil Thompson is here to try and make sense of it all.
Norwich have scored just twice this term and they might fancy their chances against a leaky Leeds backline. However, Thommo’s not anticipating a barn burner with loads of goals. In a tight match, who’s our Liverpool legend backing?
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
It was the same last time Norwich came into the Premier League, they came up all guns blazing and they’ve been absolutely shocking. None more so, I know they had a player sent off, than last week against Chelsea losing 7-0. Their chins will be hitting the floor all week.
They’re one of three teams who haven’t had a win at all, they’ve scored only two goals, that’s the lowest in the English leagues. They’ve also got the worse defence with 23 conceded. I don’t think they can keep a clean sheet.
Leeds, what has happened to them? They’ve only won one this season against Watford. They’ve only scored eight goals, there’s only Burnley and Norwich who have scored fewer. So, again, I don’t think there’s going to be bags of goals in this.
For me it was hard judging this one, they’ve had no wins in their four Premier League away games, Leeds. But, as bad have Leeds have been, Norwich have been worse. I’m going to go for Leeds to Win this by one goal, 1-0.
In terms of a goal scorer you’d be tempted to go for Patrick Bamford but you’re not sure if he’s going to play. We’ve got Rodrigo, who I think has got a good chance of scoring, so he’s the one I’m going for, Rodrigo to Score Anytime.
