17:30 Juventus v Sassuolo: Paulo Dybala To Score Anytime

After a wobbly start to the Serie A campaign, Juventus have steadied the ship somewhat of late, winning their previous four in a row before running into Inter Milan last Sunday evening. They needed a late penalty from Argentine sensation Paulo Dybala to secure a creditable draw at the San Siro, and they will be glad to have him firing once again.

Dybala picked up a muscle injury against Sampdoria at the back end of September and missed five games before returning to the field on Sunday. That strike from 12 yards added to his already hugely impressive penalty record in the league, as he has netted 18 of the 20 spot-kicks he has taken in Serie A – that includes his last five-in-a-row.

That stat adds to our confidence that he can find the net against Sassuolo on Wednesday evening, but we’ll give you a couple more reasons to back him. The Argentina international has scored three times in his last five appearances and he also found the net the last time he faced Sassuolo. Need we say anymore?

18:00 Rayo Vallecano v Barcelona: Sergio Aguero To Score Anytime

If we told you five years ago that Rayo Vallecano (who currently sit in seventh place) would be two places above Barcelona with over a quarter of the La Liga season gone, you’d be forgiven for thinking we were crazy. But, that is the reality for a Barca side that look a shell of their past selves, and who come into this contest on the back of losing a home Clásico 2-1 to Real Madrid.

The only bright spark to that defeat came in the 97th minute, as summer signing Sergio Aguero got off the mark with a late consolation. Aguero’s minutes have been limited since arriving in the Catalonian capital, and Sunday’s match was only his third appearance for his new club.

All of those outings have been late cameos, but with Ronald Koeman’s position as manager under so much pressure, the time feels right for Aguero to get some significant minutes under his belt against Rayo. If he’s given that time, then everyone knows he has never had trouble finding the back of the net.

19:45 Hibernian v Celtic: Kyogo Furuhashi To Score Anytime

Life is a little rosier for Ange Postecoglou and Celtic lately, as they’ve secured three 2-0 victories on the bounce and could find themselves back in second spot in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday night – if results fall in their favour. Performances have swung from the sublime to the farcical since the Australian took over, so this current steady period of positive results is more than welcome for the Bhoys.

One of the shining lights for Celtic has been Kyogo Furuhashi. The Japanese international has adjusted to life in Scotland stunningly quickly and already seems up there with the best players in the Scottish Premiership. Furuhashi has netted four goals in seven league outings this term, and we wouldn’t be shocked to see him add to his collection on Wednesday evening.

20:30 Real Madrid v Osasuna: Karim Benzema To Score Anytime

This was probably the easiest pick. Simply put, Karim Benzema is on fire for club and country right now. Please excuse us while we go to watch his goal against Spain in the Nations League final on YouTube one more time!

Anyways, back to reality. The French maestro has found the net eight times in his nine last games in all competitions and has seven goals in his previous six league ties. If there is a man more on-song than Benzema in world football at the moment, you’ll need to tell us about him.

On average, Benzema has scored against Osasuna in every three games he’s faced them, and given that he’s now gone six matches without a strike against them we reckon he’s overdue getting his name on the scoresheet against the Pamplona-based club, and that’s why his selection rounds our Wednesday acca.
