After a thrilling return of the Premier League over the weekend, Paddy Power ambassador Phil Thompson is back to discuss the Champions League action. He’s joined by our football trader Brian McDonnell to try and decode Club Brugge v Man City on Tuesday night. Will Pep Guardiola’s men get the better of their Belgian counterparts?
Tuesday 5:45pm: Club Brugge v Man City

THOMMO
While this is not an easy game for Man City, I do fancy them to get the job done. City were hard done by against PSG and the 2-0 scoreline flattered the French side. City played some good stuff but it just didn’t go their way. City are always strong defensively so I’m going for Man City to Win to Nil.
I also fancy Ilkay Gundogan to Score First. He’s good value to find the back of the net and he will likely take a penalty if City are awarded one. It’s always hard though as we never know who Pep Guardiola is going to play. If he’s starting I fancy him to score.

Club Brugge are a huge price considering this is not an easy game for City. They drew against PSG at home and they followed that up with a big win at RB Leipzig. I wouldn’t be putting City in an acca considering their short odds!
City were unlucky v PSG but we’ve seen it with Guardiola’s side that they struggle if a team is frustrating them or they go behind. The lack of a striker is a problem. Club Brugge to Win or Draw seems a solid selection.
