Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been caught on camera asking Khabib Nurmagomedov to choke out the club’s current boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
In a video posted on social media, the legendary Scot was overheard instructing the UFC legend to put Solskjaer to sleep if he ever benched Cristiano Ronaldo again.
It follows the Norwegian’s decision to rest the Portuguese as United dropped more points at home last time out against a severely depleted Everton side.
Ferguson told the Russian mixed martial artist: ‘The next time that PE teacher drops mah laddie Ronaldo, you put him in a rear-naked choke hold’.
‘It doesn’t matter if he’s 36 and played a full 95 minutes two days ago, Ronaldo must play every second of every game’.
However, when Nurmagomedov interjected by pointing out the 5-time Ballon d’Or entered the fray in the 57th minute, Ferguson erupted.
‘I’ll choke you, ya cauliflower-eared wee sh*te’, yelled the 79-year-old, before placing Nurmagomedov in a fulcrum choke hold.
A melee ensued with Ferguson finally being restrained by singer Mick Hucknall and United mascot Fred the Red.
Paddy Power News understands Nurmagomedov is considering coming out of retirement in a bid to tempt Sir Alex into the octagon.
However, upon hearing the rumours, MMA star Conor McGregor took to social media to offer his own challenge to Ferguson.
‘If anyone’s gonna be throwing punches at old men, it’s me baby’, tweeted the Notorious one.
Meanwhile, Manchester United’s hysterical fan base have begun their now obligatory #OleOut campaign which accompanies every international break.
‘I can’t believe Ole started Martial. Ok, he scored, completely vindicating his selection I guess. But still, #OleOut’, tweeted one fan.
‘He never gets his substitutions right – apart from the other night against Villarreal when he got them absolutely spot on, #OleOut’, wrote another.
In related news, following the announcement the club will not receive any proceeds from the £137m sale of 9.5m shares by the Glazer family, United fans are considering swapping their Ronaldo 7 jerseys for green and gold scarves, again.
