Liverpool return to Champions League action on Tuesday, with Jurgen Klopp’s side travelling to Porto. The Reds are currently top of the Premier League and have impressed in the Champions League, where they came from behind to beat AC Milan.
As for Porto, Sergio Conceicao’s men are second in the Portuguese Primeira Liga behind Benfica. They are unbeaten in seven games and drew with Atletico Madrid in the Champions League last time out.
Tuesday’s match looks set to be a fascinating contest and we’ve Paddy Power football ambassador Phil Thompson to take a look at the best bets for the game. Oh, and our football trader Brian McDonnell is along for the ride as well…
Tuesday 8pm: Porto v Liverpool BT Sport 3 and BT Sport Ultimate

You have to fancy Liverpool heading into this one as they have a great record against Porto. Porto have started well in the Champions League and drew at Atletico Madrid.
It’s going to be tough but the way Liverpool have started, you have to get behind Jurgen Klopp’s side. I fancy Liverpool to Win to Nil.
I like Diogo Jota to Score Anytime. He’ll be up for it playing back in Portugal. He should start and he’s always dangerous.
Brian McDonnell
I fancy Liverpool to dominate in Porto on Tuesday so I’m on Liverpool -1 on the Handicap betting. Since drawing against Chelsea, Liverpool have scored three goals in each of their five games. They could do that again here.
Porto haven’t shown enough in their big games this season and they haven’t created enough chances to trouble a team like Liverpool.
I also like Mohamed Salah to Score Anytime. He’s scored in the last five for Liverpool. When he’s in form, you expect him to score at least once in every game.
