Football Tips: Take advantage of our 24/1 MLS Over/Under acca on Saturday night

Our tipster Colin Harvey is hoping for feast and famine.

With the USA giving Europe a spanking in the Ryder Cup I’m jumping on the bandwagon and heading Stateside to see if their soccer is half as good as their golf. Tonight we’ve got plenty of MLS games to get stuck into and I’ve found four where there’s good value in the Overs/Unders markets.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

And, to give us the best chance of pocketing some Yankee Dollars, I’m not just restricting myself to the 2.5 benchmark. In fact, I’m hoping for a couple of stinkers and a couple of crackers in my four-fold Overs/Unders acca.

Bob Bradley LAFC

1am: Colorado v Toronto FC – Under 2.5 Goals

In a league that is absolutely bursting with goals this is a match up between two of the more reserved teams as Colorado and Toronto cross the conferences in an East v West battle. Colorado are 3rd in the West while Toronto are rock bottom of the Eastern Conference.

It looks a straightforward home win but not by much. Colorado are averaging just 1.46 goals a game while it’s a paltry 1.12. Under 2.5 Goals has landed in two of the away side’s last five but four of Colorado’s games over the same timeframe and I think we’re on for it again here.

1am: New York City v New York Red Bulls – Under 2.5 Goals

Bizarrely New York City played New York Red Bulls just three days ago and they meet again on Saturday night. It was a barn burner with two City players sent off and Red Bulls equalising in the 90th minute courtesy of a penalty to make it 1-1.

Crucially Under 2.5 Goals landed here and with the stronger side, City, having to deal with suspensions they’ll be weakened and that will give the Red Bulls hope of another result. Unders has landed in four of RB’s last six and we’re hoping history repeats itself here.

3am: San Jose Earthquakes v Los Angeles FC – Over 3.5 Goals

Right then, time for some goals. And these two selections should be absolutely nailed on for plenty. San Jose have witnessed an astonishing 14 goals in their last two games.

LA Galaxy also like to get it forward and have seen 21 goals in their last five, an average of 4.2 per match. Over 3.5 Goals has clicked in three of their last five and it’s two in five for the home side. With goals on the menu this Over 3.5 Goals seems to be the benchmark.

3.30am: Portland Timbers v Real Salt Lake – Over 3.5 Goals

Real Salt Lake are another side who think attack is the best form of defence and there’s been an average of three goals per game when they take to the field in MLS this season. Their 1-0 win last time out was the exception to the rule and the only time they’ve had Under 3.5 Goals in their last five games.

Portland are a bit more reserved but, generally, whoever Real play get sucked into their madness and the goals flow. Over 3.5 Goals has still landed in two of their last six matches and we’re backing that Salt Lake effect is in full flow here.
