Carabao Cup action returns this week with Manchester United v West Ham taking centre stage on Wednesday night. The pair faced off in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side winning 2-1 after not-so-super-sub Mark Noble missed a last-minute penalty for the Hammers.
Our footie trader Emmet O’Keefe was kind enough to have a chat with us ahead of the Old Trafford showdown and give us his verdict.

Wednesday 19:45 – Man United v West Ham
Sky Sports Main Event / Sky Sports Football
Looking ahead to this game, I don’t think West Ham boss David Moyes will be too disappointed if his side lose. They want to keep going in the Premier League and they’ve also got the Europa League to focus on.
They also don’t have the deepest squad and that will be reflected in his team selection.
As for Manchester United, their squad depth is incredible and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has numerous world class players at his disposal. Jadon Sancho will likely start, while ex-Hammer Jesse Lingard and Edinson Cavani will also play.
Given the disparity of resources for this one, I like Man United -1 on the handicap betting. I can see Man United winning this one 2-0 or 3-0.
