With most teams having 10 games to go the playoff picture is hotting up over in MLS. New England Revolution top the Eastern Conference by some distance while it’s much tighter in the Western Conference where Sporting Kansas City lead Seattle by a point, but Sounders have two games in hand.
Revolution are in action on Saturday night/Sunday morning and feature in our four-fold acca. We’ve also got the worst team in the whole MLS making an appearance too in the shape of Toronto.
As always value is abound in the North American league if you fancy some late-night football from across the pond. So, let’s see if we can unearth some Star-Spangled value.
As just mentioned, New England have been the standout side in MLS this season and they take on the Eastern Conference’s 10th placed team here. The Revolution have won 10 of their last 12 matches with just one draw and one defeat spoiling that perfect run.
The Crew have lost eight of their last 10 with two home wins bringing some relief in that run of games going back to the end of July. The home side should win this but they have a habit of claiming victory by a narrow margin. Despite that I think New England to Win and Over 1.5 Goals is a sound play to kick us off.
Toronto have just 15 points from their 24 games and they’re rock bottom of the Eastern Conference. Here they tackle Nashville who are going great guns for a relatively newly-formed side and they’re 2nd behind New England.
Nashville have won four of their last five while Toronto have lost six on the bounce. We’re on Nashville to Win here. Need I say any more?
The Western Conference’s worst and 3rd-worst sides meet here with Austin hosting San Jose. Austin have lost seven of their last eight while The Earthquakes have won one, drawn two and lost two in their last five.
However, the thing we’re interested in here is goals. Both Teams to Score has landed in five of Austin’s last six and 11 of San Jose’s last 14. With Austin’s terrible form we’re getting some value on Both Teams to Score No Draw.
Any match that features Real Salt Lake is guaranteed to be an absolute barn burner. The Western Conference’s 6th-placed side host the 2nd with the clear plan of outscoring their opponents. It’s not always a successful plan, but my God it’s entertaining.
In their last five games there’s been a stunning 25 goals, an average of 5 a game. For Seattle it’s much less at 14 over the last five with eight of those coming in one game. However, whoever Real play get sucked into the madness and I suspect Seattle will be no different. Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals finishes our acca with a big old bang.
