With the international break now sitting behind us we can finally get back to the things that matter like the Premier League – unfortunately for Arsenal fans. This Saturday’s early offering has us faced with Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace eyeing up Nuno Espirito Santo’s Spurs.
With a number of injuries on both sides and the small matter of Gio Lo Celso and Cristian Romero being caught up filming the new season of Banged Up Abroad Brazil, this won’t be as strong a Spurs side as we’ve seen since the start of the season.
It’s looking like Harry Kane will be one of the few players fit for Spurs going forward as Son Heung-min struggles with a calf strain picked up against Iraq. Steven Bergwijn, Oliver Skipp, Ryan Sessegnon and even Cameron Carter-Vickers all look unlikely to feature as well.
Palace remain without starlet Eberechi Eze after his Achilles injury towards the end of last season with Luka Milivojevic looking like the only other notable absentee. With all that factored in, let’s get to looking at a Bet Builder to make us some money!
No real surprise here as we start with Tottenham to Win. Spurs are yet to concede this season and with the ever-present threat posed by Harry Kane, who is returning from a great international break where he netted himself three goals in three games, we’d be expecting to see him carry that form with him back to the Premier League – especially with so many noteworthy players absent.
Is Kane going to be any happier about not winning silverware at the end of the season? Probably not, but let them enjoy the hope that they’re holding onto now.
Despite the fact that Spurs might be a little short in terms of options going forward, they won’t be caught out in relation to the defenders available to them. I can’t see them giving goals away against this Palace side that boasts Chelsea loanee Conor Gallagher as their top (and only) scorer this season. Both Teams To Score? No is next.
After the trio of strong performances with England over the international break we’d expect Kane to have all the transfer talk behind him and he can get back to doing what he does best, scoring goals at an ungodly rate. Let’s be honest, realistically nobody is going to be able to stop this fella
Not Vicente Guaita, not Joachim Andersen and definitely not young Marc Guehi. Expect to see Kane’s name on the scoresheet come Saturday afternoon.
After failing to secure a move in the latest transfer window, despite his best efforts, Wilfried Zaha remains at Palace for one season longer. He’s since dropped his agent in a move that shocked few.
But we aren’t here to pontificate on where he could be in a year’s time. We only need to know where he should be on Saturday morning, around the edge of the Tottenham box.
Palace have looked to this man time and time again to provide for them over the last few years and, for the most part, he has delivered. We don’t need him to provide us with much, just a shot on target which is well within his wheelhouse.
