The Football Association has launched an investigation after Manchester United posted content not pertaining to Cristiano Ronaldo on their social media accounts, Paddy Power News can reveal.

FA chiefs were alerted when United’s social media department took a brief respite from saturating the internet with all things CR7 to acknowledge Bruno Fernandes’ birthday.
United have since deleted the post which caused outrage amongst the club’s supporters.
Some fans of the Old Trafford outfit were so incensed by the gaffe, they briefly considered getting their green & gold scarves out of the sock drawer for another five minutes.
United have released an official statement apologising for the faux pas and said they’ll cooperate fully with any FA investigation.
‘Apart from those few days when it looked as though he might sign for City, we’ve all witnessed the deep loyalty our fans have for Cristiano Ronaldo’, said United co-chairman Joel Glazer.
‘You’ve made very clear your opposition to social media content that does not feature Cristiano and we have listened. We got it wrong, and we want to show that we can put things right.
‘Although the wounds are raw and we understand it will take time for the scars to heal, please accept this ‘Top 10 Ronaldo goals’ video as an apology’.
‘We’re looking forward to working with the FA to ensure something like this never happens again. Viva Ronaldo. Love, Joel’.

Meanwhile, a leading sports analytics company is predicting it’s only 33,752,970 more tweets about Ronaldo until Christmas.
With United’s social media department posting the Portuguese star’s every bowel movement in a crafty ploy to keep their hysterical followers distracted, analysts believe the festive season will be upon us sooner than you think.
