England welcome minnows Andorra to Wembley in the latest leg of their quest to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar on Sunday. And who better to take a look at the game for us other than the 42-capped, five-time captain of the Three Lions and Paddy’s very own football ambassador, Mr Phil Thompson.
The Liverpool God thinks Gareth Southgate’s gang are going to run riot at Wembley with a pretty strong team starting. So, let’s find out how many goals Thommo thinks England are going to win by.
The European Championships, the World Cup, they’ve started expanding them, haven’t they, and now we’ve got all these breakaway countries that weren’t prominent when I played. I can remember going behind the Iron Curtain during my international career.
East Germany, Romania, all these places. Now there’s all breakaway states, if you want, and I think that adds to how many caps you can actually win. My 42, I’d like to think in the modern day would have been up to about 70!
But it’s always hard when you play the lesser teams as for them it’s massive. I’m not expecting the Andorrans to flood into Wembley to support their side for this match. It is intriguing. Don’t forget that Andorra are, I think, unbeaten in their last two. They won the other night by two goals to nil, beating San Marino. So, they’re no slouches… I’m lying!
It’s how many England are going to score here. I think England might score six or even more. What we have to understand is that this England team’s on a high.
It’s the first game back at Wembley, I know it’s Andorra. Gareth Southgate will rest certain players. I do think Harry Kane will play, I think he will want to play because he’s got that top goalscorer record in his sights. I think he sees himself getting a few goals here.
Football Tips: England v Andorra goal-mad best bets from Phil Thompson
Thommo's eyeing an absolute trouncing here.

The same goes for Raheem Sterling. He might get a game in the first half where I think England will hope to run riot. I’m going to build my bet here with Harry Kane to score 2 or more goals, Over 5.5 Goals and I’m going for Raheem Sterling to Score Anytime as well.
Thommo’s Tips
Over 5.5 Goals
Harry Kane to Score 2 or More Goals
Raheem Sterling to Score Anytime
