The international break is a great time to be a lower league football fan, especially in England. Not only do you get to watch world-class players going at it in a seemingly-endless procession throughout the week, but your regular football fix is unaffected.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

Mostly, that is. There’s a smattering of this weekend’s scheduled League 1 and 2 games postponed due to international call ups as some of the bigger side’s players jet off around the world to do their thing. That means Sheffield Wednesday v Sunderland is off, as is Crewe v Morecambe. Crewe v Morecambe?

Anyway, there’s still plenty of games to look at this weekend and, as the game’s about goals, here’s a lively Both Teams to Score 5-fold acca for the surviving matches at 3pm. Funnily enough, they all come from League 2 and they’re all Both Teams To Score? Yes. We simply follow the numbers.

These picks in an acca-insured five-fold will give you odds of around 22/1 with Paddy Power. CLICK HERE TO ADD IT TO YOUR BETSLIP.

Bradford v Walsall

It’s 3rd hosting 21st here in what looks to be a straightforward win for Bradford against Walsall. The Saddlers have only won once this season but, crucially, they have scored in three of their last four games.

Bradford have also scored in three of their last four games, winning the same number. Bradford score plenty but they concede tonnes as well. There’s a great chance Walsall net here and this feels like a very solid Both Teams To Score punt.

Bristol Rovers v Crawley

Bristol Rovers have managed to bag in four of their five games this season but they haven’t been converting their attacking prowess into points and they’re down in 21st. Joey Barton’s Pirates tackle post-match fury’s John Yems’ Crawley here with fireworks on the touchline and in the media guaranteed.

Another thing that seems certain is Both Teams To Score. Crawley have shipped six twice in three games, scoring four in the process. Both defences are so poor that at least a goal apiece seems written in the stars.

Mansfield v Harrogate

Harrogate have started the season really well while Mansfield might finally deliver on some of the pre-season hype that surrounds them every year. The Sulphurites are 2nd and have scored in every game they’ve played in all competitions this term. A good omen.

The Stags are 7th and have bagged in all but one of their League 2 efforts this season. Another good omen. Harrogate have conceded a goal a game while Mansfield have shipped seven in five. This Both Teams To Score pick is an easy selection.

Port Vale v Rochdale

This might seems like a slightly odd selection given that Port Vale have only scored in two of their five games, but hear me out. Yes, it did take Port Vale, who sit in 10th, three games to net in League Two, but they’re up and running now, scoring in their last three competitive matches.

Rochdale are down in 17th but it’s not been scoring goals that has been their problem so far, it’s been keeping them out. They’ve scored as many as they’ve conceded (seven) and you don’t need to be Pep Guardiola to work out that’s not a recipe for an overly successful season. However, they have scored in four of their five league games this season and we have a good chance of Both Teams to Score landing here as well.

Stevenage v Swindon

I’ll admit it, I thought Swindon were going to be an absolute basket case this season, with ownership, management and financial issues marring their pre-season. However, they’ve come out swinging and lie in a respectable 4th after five games.

Stevenage are doing okay in 9th and both have been amongst the goals. Boro have bagged in four out of five league games and The Robins have an identical record. Again, there’s a very good chance we’ll see Both Teams To Score again in our final selection.
