Wednesday’s European action sees the second legs of the final Champions League Qualifiers taking place. First up, we have Danish giants Brondby taking on RB Salzburg, who they trail 1-2 on aggregate. Then we’re off to Croatia where Dinamo Zagreb have a tough task ahead of them against Sheriff Tiraspol of Moldova where they and find themselves 0-3 down on aggregate.

Finally, in the tie of the night, Shakhtar Donetsk host Monaco in Kharkiv where the hosts are 1-0 ahead on aggregate. Let’s find some value.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

20:00 Brondby v RB Salzburg: Salzburg To Win And Both Teams To Score

Brondby are having a rough old time of it so far this season. Of their seven games domestically and in Europe this season they’ve won none of them – drawing four and losing three. Salzburg have only played four games so far this campaign and won them all.

The only good news for Brondby fans is that their team is at least scoring a few goals. Over those seven matches they netted nine in total, but they have conceded 13. Salzburg have scored seven and have conceded just two.

Salzburg are obviously favourites here, but they have a pretty terrible record of clean sheets in the Champions League. In their last seven away games in the competition, they’ve failed to keep even one blank card. And of their last eight competitive games away from home they’ve only managed to keep two.

The away side should come out on top here, but Brondby’s scoring record against Salzburg’s leaky defence should see them get at least one.

20:00 Dinamo Zagreb v Sheriff Tiraspol: Dinamo Zagreb To Win And Over 2.5 Goals

Dinamo need to be at their best if they have any hopes of salvaging qualification from a tough situation. They weren’t even that bad in the first leg. Sheriff were clinical with their scoring chances, scoring three of their four shots on target. Dinamo must go at them from the off and get on the scoresheet early.

Of their seven home games so far this season, Dinamo have scored 11 goals (conceding eight), while Sheriff have scored a total of nine over their four away games this season.

Dinamo should have the better of Sheriff on home soil here though, and of their last 20 games at the Stadion Maksimir they’ve only lost twice – scoring at least two goals in 12 of those 20 games.

We cannot easily dismiss Sheriff though, they’ve played seven Champions League matches so far this campaign, winning six and drawing one – scoring 14 goals along the way. Overs looks like a decent shout, but we can add some extra value by adding Dinamo to Win thanks to their superior home record.

20:00 Shakhtar Donetsk v Monaco: Shakhtar To Win

Shakhtar bring a 1-0 lead into this second leg, but the market has made Monaco the favourites to win over the 90 minutes. It’s fair to say that Monaco haven’t had the best of starts to their season, of their six games played so far they’ve only won two. Of Shakhtar’s eight games played this term, they’ve won seven and lost one.

Monaco have lost all three of their most previous games in a row and while it’s hard to imagine a squad so full of talent losing a fourth, we have to mention that Shakhtar have only lost two home Champions League qualifiers over the last 21 years. Monaco have even failed to score in all three of their most recent games. Shakhtar have the better form and have the experience at this stage of the competition to see off Monaco here.
