With week one of the Premier League in the books, few things are certain and many questions remain to be answered – are Brentford decent or are Arsenal just sh*te? Was Matt Targett just a one season wonder last year? And, most importantly, do I have Bruno Fernandes and Mo Salah in my fantasy team?

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

I’ll admit it, we were unlucky last week – Pogba forgot that he wasn’t playing for France and went into God mode, Bruno bounced back but just not in the way we’d hoped (that hat-trick though, blimey!). This week all eyes are on the match up between Liverpool and Burnley. Hopefully it’s a more predictable game as we all know exactly how big Sean Dyche likes to play…

Liverpool made light work of Norwich and poor Tim was reminded of how just how Krul the Premier League can be. What can we find in this game for this week’s Bet Builder? Let’s get finding out!

Liverpool to Win

I think we’re all expecting to see this Liverpool to Win leg in our Bet Builders this weekend. Liverpool looked great in their opener against Norwich, even without Andy Robertson and Jordan Henderson available. But don’t expect this to be a cake walk for the Reds.

Liverpool have conceded Under 2.5 goals per game at home in five of their last six games at Anfield. Which leads us onto the next leg of our bet! Despite the fact Burnley have drawn their last two fixtures at Anfield, we can expect to see the streak broken on Saturday.

Under 2.5 Goals

Burnley love nothing more than a good, solid, dreary defensive performance. Expect nothing less from this game. I can see the Burnley defence being under a constant barrage of shots from the firing squad of Salah, Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota.

However, a big performance from Nick Pope should keep Burnley in this contest (relatively speaking). Under 2.5 Goals is the way to go.

Mohamed Salah to have 2 or more shots on target

The Egyptian King was all guns last weekend against Norwich with a staggering five shots, two of which were on target (Jota had the exact same stat line too). Expect him to carry this form with him into Saturday’s match – especially with Anfield and its fans back at the peak of their powers. I think we’ll safely see Salah have 2 or more shots on target.

Liverpool to have 7 or more match shots on target

Let’s be honest, if Brighton managed 8 shots on target against this Burnley side, we’d be expecting double digits from this Liverpool. However, we’re going to go with 7 shots on target for Liverpool as Burnley might have a little more structure after the first week of the season.

Away Team Over 1.5 Bookings

Burnley nabbed themselves two yellow cards in their opening fixture. One for James Tarkowski and the other for Johann Berg Gudmundsson.

With a team who’s main method of playing football is by playing without the ball, coming up against a side with the pace and aggression going forward that Liverpool possesses, we expect to see Burnley pick up Over 1.5 Bookings. You can also bet to see Sean Dyche to spend the post-match interview raving about how the game’s gone soft over a slow-mo replay of a Liverpool player being guillotined via sliding tackle.
